I love the Dirty Dozen, so this is my take on a list. Any Suggestions?

Are you planning to run the Chimera behind the penal squads? Fluff wise the Last Chancers used lots of arty on Orks in the books before they were cut down to size. You may have issues with heavy mech due to your lack of ranged but if you outflank enough you may mitigate that risk. MEQs may be surprised on how Straken can make guard but I would think MEQ armies would be a challenge, especially highly moblie ones.

some simple tactical ideas:

Run Straken with the Devildog.
Leman Russ do its thang
Put a Penal Legion in the Vendetta (for claiming).
Outflank as needed.

Another option is to ditch a penal squad, drop a griffon: take a Vet Squad with 3 Meltas and a Chimera.
In fact, now that I think about that, it isn't a bad idea--- the points work out perfectly. Might be worth while to drop two griffons and 2 penals for 2 Vet squads with meltas in chimeras. Would still have pretty effective ordnance.
