Mousillon Blood Knight

[Cruor Vault]

I have slowly been building a Mousillon themed Vampires army since January. I kind of put everything on hold when 8th edition came out because I just don't see vampires as playing the way I want them too in 8th. But I still have all these shiny new models screaming to be painted or finished.

This is the first of my Blood Knights, I wanted to keep the Black and Yellow of the Mousillon scheme but integrate it with the blood red of the Blood Knights scheme. His base is not done, I still need to do a couple more layers of Highlights on the sand, I need to put on static and Long grass as well as pour some water effects into the lowered parts of the base. I also plan to add some tinted water effects to the lance and a small amount of spatter on his shield for blood.

I commend you for your clever use of Dark Elf Cold One Knights' bodies. And I must say I'm surprised to see a relatively true-scale horse.

The Horse is just a Chaos Knight horse with all the spiky bits shaved off. Though it does lend itself rather well to the riders relative body size doesn't it?

What is the helmet from?

The Head is from a Dark Elf Cold One Knight. I cut the conehead top off and filled in the hole where the ornament goes. Pretty simple process.
