Quick question guys, if an IC joins a fearless unit and lets say the fearless unit either loses 20% due to shooting or loses in an assault, are they still considered fearless or since the IC is not fearless, the unit "loses" its fearlessness and will have to roll a morale check? I know that if a fearless IC joines a non fearless unit, the IC loses his/her fearlessness does it also work the other way around?

That is an Excellent question...
If you look at the Universal Special Rule Fearless on page 75, it states that:
"This special rule is gained by any independent character joining a fearless unit"

Hope this helps.

Interestingly, a fearless HQ joining a non-fearless unit loses it. /facepalm

I think that makes sense, most of the time. I see it as representing the fact that the leader is unwilling to leave his less courageous troops, hoping to rally them.

I always thought lof it like "Mob Mentality". If the majority are Fearless, the IC is more confident. If the majority is a bunch of cowards, the IC is carried along when they run.
