Presenting my Project, the the Host of Mehi-K'Amen.

First off the gem of the army, the Necrosphere:

This is a Doomsday Monolith when I play apocalypse, but on normal games I was using it a Simple Monolith. It's not finished yet as it's just received a basic coat of paint, but I want to finish all the army to a playable state before I start detailing the paint all around.

Here, so you have an idea of Scale:

I also have a second, smaller version called a Harvester Orb. This is much more in scale with the normal Monolith and much easier to manufacture, so I'll likely make a second and third ones and use them as Monoliths in normal games.

Now I'll follow the codex sequence to present my units.

Here's my Necron Lord, no Conversions but he shows my paint scheme quite well:

My Army has a concept that all Necrons remain Humanoid, so the Destroyers don't have the usual "centaur" body, but literally ride on Jetbikes. For my Destroyer Lord I felt compelled to give him a suitable Chariot/Throne:

http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu75/arhurt2/Necronstuff/Necron139.jpg

Now on to Elites, first off my Pariahs. I don't like the whole Pariah concept that much, so I have created one of my own. The Mourner is a single machine that houses a living Necrontyr inside. His suffering and ever-living body fuels the Thirst of the C'tan and the machine. It's a sarcophagous with scything tentacles that burrows underground.

Here was the first concept for ther Mourner:

And the first unit, Still in a basic metallic coat:

Following up there are the Immortals. I'm converting mine from Warriors with Destroyer Torsos, even buying the torsos separately makes it cheaper than the blister, and they are bigger than the metal ones.
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b183/Arhurt/NecronStuff/Necron036.jpg

I'm still not happy with the paint scheme of the immortals. I'll try painting only the shoulder pads blue in the same manner as my Lords are for the next ones.

The Flayed Ones are made from the warriors that where left without weapons in making the Immortals. Since I was making them from scratch I decided they too would be more humanoid than standard Flayed Ones and have five fingers instead of four on the normal models. I also made them with extra sized blades for coolness.

My Basic Necron Warriors have some convertions thrown in the middle of the squad. I have only one 10-man squad painted at this time:

But I have these three guys that are my "Squad Leaders"
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b183/Arhurt/NecronStuff/Necron113.jpg

My Wraith are made from warriors. Again they remain humanoid and not snake-like, using an "Assault suit" for extra killing power:

My Destroyers are Immortals riding the Jetbike, connected by tentacle servo-arms to the board for stability:
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu75/arhurt2/Necronstuff/Necron135.jpg

They are painted just with basic colors, I'm not sure yet on the Immortals paint scheme so I'm putting these on hold for now.

The scarab swarms are pretty basic, and I don't have a picture of them yet.

On the Heavy Support slots I have my Tomb Guardian. I always thought that the Tomb Spider Model was not big enough to be called a monstruous creature. Add to that the expensive model and you get a scratchbuilt!

The concepot is to use the tentacle things present in the other pieces. Since calling it a Tomb Squid is silly I decided to call it the Tomb Guardian:
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b183/Arhurt/NecronStuff/Necron129.jpg

Here you can see it's size as it tried to kill a group of Assault termies (saving my warriors there a turn to shoot):

Finally comes my Necron Overlord. Since my Necrons have lost direct touch with their C'tan masters, I made this Necron Overlord to count as either the Nightbringer or the Deceiver. It's still a WiP, but It's getting there:

I have also made a pair of Pylons to use in apocalypse games. They where really rushed though, and I'm only going to keep their bases when I remake them.
You can spot them in the background here:
http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu75/arhurt2/CtAA%20-%20I/CTAA-009.jpg

At this moment the army sums up to:
- Necron Lord
- Necron Destroyer Lord
- 30 Necron Warriors
- 5 Immortals
- 8 Flayed Ones
- 6 Wraith
- 14 Scarab Swarms
- 6 Destroyers
- 2 Monoliths (Necrosphere and Harvester)
- 7 Pariahs
- C'tan (either one)

For all that I have only purchased 2 Battleforce boxes and the 2 lord kits. Everything was either scratchbuilt or converted from warriors from the battleforce boxes. All was done in about 6 months, and include in that the modular terrain board I also made. So yeah, if you have some free time and determination, you can get a cheap and awesome army done quite fast.

Thanks for reading, I'll keep adding more and more as I progress in here as well from now on. Comments and criticizm are very much welcome, and appreciated.

Wow... thats amazing. I appluad you for taking an army which is normally a little bland, modeling wise, and making it so Characterful. I particularly the idea of using one really big model as a squad or pariahs, but I doubt it would get by in offical tournaments, unfortunately. Still, very original, very well done, and very impressive. The second most creative Necron army I've ever seen, easy, and certainly the most creative that fits within the 40K universe at large. (Those steam-punk Necrons theme army someone posted a link to earlier ruined me, I'm afraid.) I'll be watching this very closely.

Just amazing. This is an incredible army. I'm particularly impressed with the way you sketched out your ideas and then stayed completely true to them. I've never actually been able to pull that trick off. lol. Do you have any shots of the entire horde mustered for battle?
Great stuff.

Well I'm once more impressed, love how you've turned this army into more than just another faceless tomb guard.Your conversions still ring true to the scifi undead Necron vibe, but add a lot of individual character!

Thanks guys!

ThePov, I'm not too worried about tournaments. I live in Brazil and we have no official GW presence here ;)

bsmoove, I don't have a picture of the armies before deployment on that particular battle, but here's a group shot of everything I have:

You are a GAWWWWD!!!

Any templates for the custom tanks, or just a 'manic scratch build'. I'd buy 'em, lol

I have to commend you on your brilliant ideas and their execution. Your direction is much better for modeling that the average cookie cutter necron force. I would be very happy to play against your army and especially the monolith/sphere thing.

I must say, I'm astounded, someone mentioned yours as second best to the steampunkers, to me that is probably true to some extent, however, take my personal preferences into account and you've got yourself first place ;)

I love the idea for the pariahs, though as was mentioned it might not fly in tournies, but if you're planning on friendlies only then great idea! Other than that, I would be honoured to lose to that army :p
