Here at Golem Painting Studio (http://www.golempaintingstudio.co.uk) helping people learn to paint is an area from which i get great pleasure. Inspired by the recent threads and discussion on the Cool Mini Or Not Boards (http://www.coolminiornot.com) we’re thinking of running a Painting Tutorial Event.

Basically it will be something like this;

We'll organise the paints, glue etc, date (maybe april?) and the venue (probably in Manchester), and our painters will be there to help people with the painting.

On the day we'll run something like 10 till 5 inc an hour break for lunch around 1.

Tickets would be around £35 and will include a 5-man box set of GW Space Marines, a large flat drybrush and a basecoat brush (worth £24.20) and obviously a 6 hour painting lesson (We normally charge £12.50 an hour - so 6 hours for less than the cost of 1 ain't bad ;))

We'll use these Space Marines to teach you the basics (of good composure, building, basing and painting), how we apply and use paint, freehand, etc
But we also encourage you to bring a few other more detailed models you want to paint so we can help you apply what you have learnt to other models, or deal with any other areas you want to cover.

There will only be a limited number of places. So, question is, if we get this organised who would be genuinely interested?

This Marine below took one of our painters Tommie Soule (http://www.coolminiornot.com/artist/Tommie%20Soule) 1and 1/2 hours to paint, so hopefully we can help you all to produce something to this standard if not higher!
