Oh, good heavens, that is just so much better than the official GW model.

Lots better than the GW try. He acutually looks like someone who is a loner doing his own thing.

And someone who doesn't follow regs or anything, that beard helps ;)

Though personally he doesn't look as gritty as I would like. I don't know, personal ideas I guess ;)

Thanks guys

@Valdore - To be honest, I haven't figured out how to dirty up my guys yet, so until I do, they're all looking a bit clean.

I am the only one who looked at that and thought "Colm Corbec" ?

In any case it's a really nice model, what's the body from originally?

Actually, I'm reading sabbat martyr at the moment, and it's occurred to me although I never planned him that way.

The original was this one :-

looks good, once you dirty him up, he'll be ready to "go MaRbo" on someone.

Stellar work, sir. That looks leaps and bounds better than the GW one.

Myself I want to convert a Straken model that looks like the artwork of him in the Codex.

And yeah, that Marbo looks a lot like Colm Corbec.

Very cool. You get get some mig or other pigments and do a light dirt dusting on the boots, cloak and other places.

Beautifully done. Looks like he has been in the killing business since he was young. Old and grizzled like a veteran should be. There also seems to be a confidence to the pose of the model that brings it all together.

great model. have to echo others and say your guy's loads better then the GW one

Definitely looks better with the longer hair. There's just something about the extreme loner mentality that lends itself to a slightly less clean look.

Hmmm.....very interesting and has given me a few ideas to do a cadian Sly., Now just have to find some maruder legs.

The gun is excellent! The basing is really good too.
I also thought Corbec or 'ghost' when I looked at it.

this is a great conversion mate, absolutely Boom-tastic.

i still haven't worked out how i'm going to scratch build myself a cadianesque one for my army. but this is great inspiration, the body at least is a good starting point, i hadnt considered the catachan demo-charge guy before now, although its got the thought process going!!

He kinda reminds me of one of the models from Gaunt's Ghost. The bearded one.

Love it, reminds me of the special character they made for the Laius rift campaign, Ruskin or something like that...
