I had this sitting on my shelf for a few months now and decided to paint it a few days ago.

Nice color on the lightning claws, or "wolf claws" as it were. how many pieces is that model anyhow>

He's four pieces. Two arms, a Backpack, and a body. I had him fall apart so had to pin him.

Nice work - I've always enjoyed space wolves, you've paintied this one pretty well. The brass/gold is a nice touch, it's very deep.

You plan on stocking up when the new codex comes out?

I love this model, how was he painting up? was it a pain or does he paint up nicely?

Really like this model myself.

I have 2 of them I use regularly. One is as packaged and used as a Wolf Guard Battle Leader, the other has been slightly converted to be my 30k Version of Bjorn, prior to the Dreadnaught.

I basecoat with an airbrush, No model is hard ;)Other than that he was easy as pie, it only took me around 2 hours for him.

just some constructive criticism: the claws look like the same color as his armor, try using actual space wolf armor color to mix it up.

I agree, the 'Wolf Claws' may need some additional definition. Maybe even some slight weathering effects towards the business sides of the blades or something?

Otherwise, great work - it looks fantastic :)

thats good he only took two hours. i don't have an airbrush to undercoat but it comforts me that it doesn't look like I will be spending more than a night to paint him.
