View Full Version : Shameless Attempt To Win Something...

I hardly need to join yet another GW related forum, but... :)

My main army is 40K DIY SM and I'm slowly working on Orks and collecting IG figures...

My son, 12, has a BT army that he's working on.

Also shamelessly attempting to win something. Though I only collect guard. I figured I might as well try. A book and a Valkyrie (that's being converted to a Vendetta if I win it)? Not bad for something so easy to compete in.

:rolleyes:Just wait... I'm up to an insane amount of armies/systems/games and unpainted mini's :) Can't wait tot get more! I've only been gaming since my first issue of White Dwarf (when the format size shrank to the current size) guess how far back?

I approve of this shamelessness! :P

(If there was an emote for thumbs up id put it here)

Yeah, I may have to fix that. It's available as a post icon, but I'll see what I can do about adding more smileys in.

Welcome to the Lounge, y'all.

I really hate it when a forum starts bugging you to post. I find that I only post when I actually have something to contribute to a discussion. I think that it is just silly to post just to increase your post count.

At least the OP was honest about why he was posting.

Not scratch built, just my own chapter. :)

It's a standard Codex chapter, just my own color scheme, name, etc.

Thank You!

I do like the colors of this forum very much! I might have to make this the main one... :)

"Mistress of the Forum" has sort a "Roman" ring to it... ;)

Is your DIY chapter Dark Angels? could you possibly explain your modified DA avatar? The blue wing is unique.

I'm new here myself, though certainly not new to the hobby.

BoLS has been a great regular site, and I have high hopes that the "lounge" (read: Forums) develops into something similarly worthwhile over time.

Like most new things, however, it will most likely take some time to develop.

No, not really... :)

My chapter badge was going to be the same as the 29th Infantry Division's symbol

I created my own decals, but screwed them up with the sealer and then found out the gray wasn't dark enough.

So I just took the DA badge turned it upside down and painted the blue and gray on either side. It works for me... :)

Amen to that! Nevertheless, the miniscule chance of winning made me actually look at this forum and I'd say that it complements the blogg in a very nice way. So far, it looks good!

I have to agree with this... I find myself visiting this one more often than the others now... :)

They have done a great job picking the theme/color scheme.

There are some wonderful old and new Imperial guard figures to be found. Good luck building up your army.
