Great Unclean One

Have painted this mainly as a display peice to sit behind my Warriors of Nurgle army so they look sort of like the artwork from Lost and the Damned, I am also entering it into the UK Golden Demon this year.

Thoroughly enjoyable model to plan, convert and paint. Had nothing but fun start to finish.

Even if you don't win, it is definitely 'Golden Daemon' quality. If you don't mind me asking, could you post some pics of the Nurgle daemons that the GUO is leading? Amazing work!

Thanks guys. Creeps me out too, took 4 hours of drilling holes and inserting roe buck deer hair in. I ended up cross eyed. Most distrubing part is it is rather pleasurable to gentley stroke.....not sure if I should put that out in the public domain :eek:

Thanks, the snow is also the theme of my entire chaos army hence why I also did the skin with the yellowy tinge and the wounds as though frost bite was kicking in. It also comes off the diplay plinth so is usuable in games, beauty, fun and functionality in one complete package.....like boobs

Thanks for the vote of confidence, the cyclopse eye is to make him look like a big plague bearer. Although ithas the added bonus of looking like the little green dude in monsters inc....hopefully it will scare the kids

Yes, please, if it would be no bother. I believe you are referring to the cover of The Lost and the Damned. I still have a copy of it, but I must say that I like your GUO better. :P. I can imagine a hunting party from Clan Moulder searching across the snow-swept Chaos Wastes looking for beasties to take back to Hell Pit for experimentation and coming across your happy chap and group of Nurgle warriors. It might even induce their vicinity to become heavy with the musk of fear (oh, dear).

I am however always adding stuff to both the nurgle and the other 4 gods, it is simply a matter of time.......at the moment I am working on a squad of catachans for 40k squad entry and then once that is finished I will be back to nurgle with vengence.....Mister Toad Dragon is calling me :D

I think this year you have a far better chance at Golden Deamon than you did last year with those blood thirsty ogres of yours. The judges dont seem to like lots of blood do they lol.

Thanks mate. So were many people....the juding this year was a joke. I watched the judging and the design studio had chosen mine in the last three then Alan Merritt came along and replaced it with the ogre that won gold, which had also been one of the first models discarded by the design studio during the final round of judging.......every inch of me wanted to jump the barrier and headbutt Merritt in the nose. luckily for him I am good at addressing my inner rage :) So thats two years on the trot I have been shafted by Alan Merritt in golden demon.
