Hello all!
This November 12 and 13 I'll be running a GW circuit tournament in Halifax, NS. It's a 2 day tournament with 5 games of either Warhammer Fantasy or Warhammer 40k (running side by side). Points for the tournament are 2000 points for Fantasy and 1700 points for Warhammer 40k. This is the start of a yearly event which will only get bigger and better!
Prizes include an invite to the Throne of Skulls tournament in 2012 as well as: $150, $100 and $50 prizes in online vouchers for first, second and third place respectively. Pretty awesome prizes!
The tournament is also being held inside our local fantasy/sci-fi convention here called Hal-Con (http://hal-con.com (http://www.hal-con.com))! So during off hours you can browse the convention and meet the guests. Entrance to the tournament includes entrance into the convention and a convention t-shirt! Convention is 9am-9pm both Saturday and Sunday, gaming should wrap up each day between 5 and 6. For us gaming nuts one of the guests is Steven Jackson creator of, among many other things, Munchkin! So another great perk.
Entrance cost is set at $115 (this price includes tax) and will cover your tournament, convention and t-shirt! Pretty good value for you money. There are also some group rates worked out at local Hotels and I'd be happy to pass that information along to anyone who is interested. Tickets are available on the Hal-con website or from myself if you happen to be in the area!
