General Update:
This week saw some more progress towards getting 'Ol Bessie (The Phantom Titan). We contracted pro painter Derek R. to paint the Xenos war-machine and there is no doubt that it will be quiet the work of art when he is done.
We have been working our knuckles to the bone building more and more terrain. Right now we literally have a hill of over 100 hills. Thanks to our fabricator general Damien G. for dedicating himself
As far as prize support goes, I had to move all the FoB prize support from my walk in closet to our guest room because my wife kindly mentioned "I can't walk in here." Needless to say, there will be lots and lots of stuff flying around as prize support this year.
The total count of people playing in the qualifier round reached over 500 this year! This is a great accomplishment, next year lets hit 1000!

Focus on: 40k Last Chance Qualifier "Qual by fire event,":
Fri 6:30pm - ??:??am
Description:
So, you just missed qualifying by one point? Or maybe you live in a state where we didn't have a qualifier. Well, now is your last chance to qualify for the invitational. We are filling 1+ all drop/no show slots with the winners from this event (i.e. five slots open = top 5 players gain an invitational slot.)
Missions:
This event isn't about how pretty your army is (painting required), nor is it about how nice you are (don't be a jerk!) This will be 100% battle points and we will be using the three missions from the qualifier rounds.
Achievements/ prize support:
This event does qualify for the Feats of Strength events as well as the 15 hours challenge. The main prize in this event is the qualification into the invitational, though we may hand other stuff out as we see fit.
Cost:
This is a free event for anyone who has purchased another event ticket. Upon qualifying we will replace your event ticket with an invitational ticket, at that time we will ask for (or refund) the cost difference between the two event tickets (Ex: If you purchased a 40k Open GT ticket and qualify, we will do a straight exchange)
Focus on: 40k Narrative Event
Sat: 9:00am - 7:30pm
Sun: 8:00am - 3:30pm

Description:
We have gathered 30,000 points of Eldar on a beautiful maiden world for this years narrative campaign. Will you pit yourself against the Eldar and attempt to take the maiden world from its rightful owners? Or will you help command the Eldar (Space limited) in a defensive effort to push the invaders off your planet?
Missions:
Each race will have a different goal in this. For example, Tyanids are trying to devour the world trees of the maiden world, while the Dark Eldar are trying to capture anything with wraith tech. You will be rewarded for achieving your goals. Each goal achieved has an impact on the next mission in the campaign. (Did you capture the power station? Then next game you could have some sentry guns to help your cause.)
Achievements/ prize support:
This event qualifies for the Feats of Strength and 15 hours. This event is fully prize supported but not to the "winner," we will be rewarding people for doing amazing acts of bravery and for achieving multiple goals in each mission as well as having good looking armies/fluff. This event is designed to not focus on winning, but more to focus on the story telling/ fluff and painting aspects of the hobby.
Cost:
The cost of this event gets you a weekend badge and an open play pass so you can play in any of our side events/ painting classes for free. Click the link above for details and to purchase your ticket.
HOTEL ROOMS AVAILABLE:
The only way this event can happen year after year is if you purchase a hotel room and stay at the red lion. Ticket sales aren't even near enough to cover the cost of the hotel, but each room rented lowers the cost of the main ball room, which is how it becomes affordable. So, help the cause and get a room.
