- ENTRIES CAN BE SUBMITTED AS EARLY AS Friday 12pm

- ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED BY5pm Saturday to be considered.

SINGLE FIGURE CATEGORY

This category is for single fantasy, sci-fi, or historical figure. The size of the miniature can range from 15mm to 90mm and beyond, but please keep it reasonable. Conversions are encouraged here so feel free to go hog wild. Make sure you finish any basing you might have on it as this will be judged as part of the miniature. If you do not have any paint or flock on it then be prepared to fix it or take the hit in judging.

UNIT CATEGORY

This category is for military units or warbands of 5 figures or more. Again, fantasy, sci-fi, or historical units are acceptable. These MUST be on a tray of some type to make for easier handling by the judges. The tray cannot be over 12" x 12". We encourage you to make the tray part of the unit display. If there is no tray you will not be allowed to enter the models in the competition.

WARMACHINE/VEHICLE CATEGORY

This category is for all vehicles and machines of war, such as trebuchets, catapults, etc. All fantasy, sci-fi, and historical based miniatures will be considered in this category. No bases are required for these models, but if there is one then please make sure it is finished or at the very least flocked.

ARMY CATEGORY

Do you have a beautiful army sitting around collecting dust that you won't be using over the weekend? Then bring it in and enter it in this category. This category is, simply put, for big forces (puny warbands need not apply). We want to see armies with 20+ figures. Feel free to include dragons or super heavy tanks or war mammoths here. These MUST be on display boards. We will not accept them without one.

OPEN CATEGORY

This is our catch-all category. If you don't think your model(s) fit into the other categories then feel free to enter them here. Any bases should not be over 12" x 12" or over 18" tall. Also, if we feel a model does not fit into the category you entered it into then we reserve the right to move it here.

DA RULES!

1. - Each entrant can enter any number of entries into any of the categories. Be warned that if you win all the prizes in a category that we cannot stop the other entrants from throwing you a blanket party.

2. -Each entrant must submit his/her entries in person. If you are found submitting someone else’s work you will be disqualified from any and all categories you entered. ‘Nuff said.

3. -All painting, conversion work and basing on a miniature must be the work of the entrant. Again, if you are found submitting someone else’s work you will be disqualified from any and all categories you entered.

4. - You cannot enter models that have previously won prizes in other competitions. This includes online and other conventions.

5. - We will do everything to handle your pieces with the utmost care, but accidents do happen and we are not responsible for lost or damaged entries. This is a good reason to make sure you have bases/trays/display boards for your entries.

6. - Entering a model into the FoB Painting Competition grants the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display, photograph, and/or publish pictures of that model as the organizers see fit, without prior notice to the contestant.

7. The FoB reserves the right to move entries into another category at the discretion of the judges.

8. - All decisions of the judges and FoB management are final.

9. - We will begin accepting entries on Friday at 12pm.

10. - All entries must be received by 5pm on Saturday afternoon.

11. - All entries and prizes must be picked up by 3pm on Sunday afternoon.

12. You will be asked to sign the entry form when you drop off your miniatures for the competition, re-stating these rules and indicating your agreement. Further, your signature on this form will indicate that you agree to the photography of your miniatures and/or you by the convention staff, volunteers and/or the competition management, as well as other media persons with an interest in showcasing miniatures of this event. We will request that no pictures be published by print or internet without information on the figure(s), the painter’s name and this event, but we cannot guarantee compliance in all cases or by media not associated with the convention.
