I'm trying to find a 'not so miniature' model for a red dragon to use in a D&D game, and was hoping the community could point me in the direction of their favorite (huge) dragon minis.

For those who are curious, we're actually running Dragon Mountain, of AD&D fame. While I know I won't find anything truely in scale (the GM tossed of the comment that it would take up a 3 foot square on the battlemat) I do want to find something suitably intimidating to tower over the 28mm PCs.

I've looked at the Reaper Minis dragons, and while a number of them are awesome, it's hard to get an idea of scale. If anybody felt like sharing pics of them with some other minis for scale, that would be awesome. ;)

Could try the Colossal Red Dragon for D&D which is a pre-painted miniature that stands 13" tall. It's been out of print for a while, but there are still a few places that have them in stock. Found this link for amazon.com and if you look around you can likely find it for cheaper:

The McFarlane dragons might work for you (cheaper :P)

If you want something truly intimidating then look no further:

Only drawback is his price and availability. ^^

The Carmine Dragon (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer/Warhammer_Monsters/CARMINE_DRAGON.html) from Warhammer Forge is also quite impressive, but perhaps not quite as large as you want?

Other than the aforementioned Cang (one of my brother has one, very impressive) if time and money are not obstacle there is the Heresy Miniatures dragon (https://www.heresyminiatures.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=54&products_id=260). There is a twelve month or more waiting list and it is £200.

Woah nice pic eldargal, that is one seriously badass dragon! I'd hate to try painting it though, there's no way my skills could ever do it justice.

Oh I remembered two more:

Vizeralyn from Valiant Miniautures, 250USD, two feet tall

Razorwing from Valiant, 75USD not sure on height

Personally I'd still go with the Carmine or Heresy Miniatures Dragon.

Nice options here, but maybe not the scale or look you're after: http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/dragon

Collector's Edition of Skyrim Alduin model maybe?
