anyone else sad to hear that Space Wolves can't use the LRE anymore? mine is the pride of my army(and the most lovingly painted) and now I cant use the damn thing.

Apart from the Heavy Bolter in the hull it could likely be used effectively as a "counts-as" predator but I for one am sad to see the Leman Russ go. After all our Primarch is it's namesake... :(

it is a shame, but please oh please don't throw it away or anything stupid like that. if its the pride of your army. use it every chance you can: ask your opponent if they would mind you using it, for fluff reasons, in a friendly it should be fine. failing that its always legal in apocalypse games.

at the end of the day, if you're only playing a friendly, only a douche would refuse you to use your nice tank :D

I don't even play Wolves, and I'm pretty sad that they took that tank out... but look, you can ride wolves now... I guess that's a cool tradeoff?

Well remember each chapter has auxilia troops for minor work such as policing, garrisoning areas etc etc.

THis means in apocalypse you can use your LR exterminator as part of the SM bondsmen regiments sworn to that great company. if the Ultramarines had them to defrend Macragge with baneblades it's an easy fix for SW.

This also means you now have a good excuse to paint up IG in SW type colors, and maybe use those extra punk heads from the pack sprue. Then you'll have an even bigger apocalypse force that's fluffy, works, and is fairly original.

Or do what my ork playing friend is doing, slap some glyphs on it and make it a looted wagon. XD

hmmm, ideas ideas. I only have 5 IG figures atm (some old Praetorians. autocannon team and command squad) but IG in SW colors does sound appealing. I know where my next 20 paychecks are going. *next 50 if I find some Praetorians
