Re-rolling wounds

This may be a stupid question, but it came up in a game I played recently and I could not find a definite answer elsewhere.

If a unit has a rule that allows it to re-roll wounds, then does it also get to re-roll vehicle penetration rolls?

No. Re-rolling wounds only counts against targets with a toughness value. Don't have a page reference at the moment (slacking at work).

No, it would specifically say you get to re-roll armour penetration, actually had this one come up today.

That is the answer we came up with as well.

In the particular situation we were debating it was the Tyranids, but it made me stop and think about Warp Time on a Daemon Prince. It would kind of make sense to me that the DP could re-roll AP rolls. But the rule says wounds and not armor penetration, so that pretty much settles that.
