Playing a small game with my mate late last night so lost the ability to think/read and as I am at work I don't have my rule book with me so I was wondering if you could help me with these two questions:
Q1. A dreadnought assaults a tank which armour does it strike against?
The facing side
The rear armour
My gut feeling was it should strike the side it’s in base to base with (the facing side), but reading "walkers in assault" section it says that walkers assault like infantry and infantry assault the rear armour.
Q2. In close combat, the assault move has been done, the defenders have reacted and strikes are being worked out in Initiative order. The highest initiative model strikes first and causes five unsaved wounds. The wounds are allocated and casualties removed. At this point there is no one left in base to base contact does this mean?
The next highest initiative strikes allocated hits/wounds against those who were engages at the start of the assault phase
As no one is in base-to-base and can strike combat resolution occurs (losing side takes a leadership test etc.)
Both players consolidate as the units are no longer locked in combat
