Well, I feel like it may not have enough shooting power... only 5 lascannons and 6 autocannons, though you do have some good close range shots with plasma and melta. It just doesn't feel like enough especially for BS3 army. Are you having the infantry swuads all blob up together?

CCS- Straken, 3x melta, medic, Offiicer of the fleet, carapace (310)
Chimera (ML/HF)

Drop one melta and bodyguard for a medic with ccw/laspistol. Trust me you'll need the feel no pain when mowing through most units with Straken. For added fun throw in Kell and you have a beast of a CC IG unit. Kell on the charge at Initiative five with four Str 4 attacks helps a ton verse marines. He's armed with both a Power weapon and power fist, plus two wounds and a Regimental Standard.

PCS 4x Flamers (105)
Chimera with a HF turret and hull mounted HB

Drop the camo cloak on the Lord Commissar.

You now have plus 20 points to play with.

Give your Infantry squad Sergeants power weapons.

Drop Marbo, he's not worth the 65 points you'll waste. if you can drop the Sentinels and upgrade the valkyrie to a Vendetta and get another Vendetta.

If you are gonna go for the Straken squad you need both bodyguards and a medic. Also, taking a Priest, allowing you to re-roll misses on the turn you assualt, is a good way to maximize Straken's 5 attacks. Giving the Priest an Eviscerator is not necessary but will give you an extra beat stick weapon, providing the Priest is still alive when initiative 1 gets to swing. You can throw in Kell but in a 2000 point list that might be putting too many eggs in one basket. Try this:

Company Command Squad w/Col. Straken, 2 Bodyguards, medic, meltagun and carapace armor. That's 235 points. Throw in the Priest and that's 45 more. An Eviscerator for the Priest will run you another 15. In a 2K list I would probably just take the Priest with no Eviscerator. His main job anyway is to let Straken re-roll those misses. You could also add one more Meltaguns but remember, it's good to have a couple of regular dudes to take the first hit. Taking two bodyguards also gives some nice wound soak to protect Straken.

my two cents
