A tau auxilia Leman Russ, the first conversion of a small armoured company im working on at the moment.

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j188/dave38x/40k/P5040158.jpg
Pathfinder sniper, one of my better figs

http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j188/dave38x/40k/campaignheadmontagecopy.jpg
My most detailed hammerhead yet, ERA, riders, scratchbuilt railgun, blast damage etc...

So thats it for past projects, as for work in progress i have the following:
http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j188/dave38x/40k/P7251097.jpg
Tau Auxiliaries Destroyer Tank Hunter - this thing will have a heavy railgun

I have a few other projects in the pipeline, however im going to scotland tomorrow so doubt ill be able to get images up etc...

What do you guys think so far?

@Faultie - i used MIG Pigments, they are essentially powdered pigment that you combine with different bases to get mud, dust, rust effects etc.

Love it all. The Tau Russ is great and the Wraithlord is awesome in its simplicity. I am a big fan of the "this is going to hurt you a lot" varirty of poses.

Do you use an airbrush for your weathering on your tau vehicles? I love the look of them. they are detailed, but not to the point of having too much to look at. Wonderful work.

I have to say those are the best Tau tanks I have ever seen in my life. They make my tanks look like a pile of dead Orks stepped on by a Titan and then having exterminatus called down on them. I wish I could kidnap you and tie you up in my basement painting all of my models. But seriously, great work and I can't wait to see more of your work, especially more Tau stuff :)

Love. That. Sniper. :)

You've really pulled that off. The base really seals the deal for me.

Love it man! I'd also like the 411 (if you're willing) on the ghillie suit! Looks really slick.

I'm intrigued... what were you thinking these would represent?

Dave38x
08-16-2009, 05:23 AM
Well the escort im building is going to be a firestorm class escort, i have already built a cobra and a sword, and i am going to cast them in resin to make myself a fleet of slightly different ships :)

the battleship is just an apocalypse class battleship :)

It's Tau models like that that made me what them in the first place. Looking at my collection after seeing yours makes me feel I let them down.

Awesome weathering! Is that sponged on, or a stabbing motion with a brush?

Fantastic work.
