View Full Version : ClockWork Paladin Miniatures: introduction and some news!

07-28-2012, 03:23 AM

I'm here to present this new "miniatures heavy forge", named "ClockWork Paladin", a newborn small firm made by me, Durgin, and Valerio "Yro" Terranova, a young, talented, "digital sculptor".

We have one goal: top quality miniatures in 30mm scale.

We sculpt with digital tools (zbrush), and our minis will be in top quality resin (no failcast :D ), and actually we have designed two different range of miniatures:

1) Garou: a project completely made by Yro, with very special miniatures, a "grotesque and exhilarating" fantasy.

2) The third key: a project made by myself, where I try to put classical "fantasy creatures" (dwarf, elf and others) in a new world inspired to oriental mythology and tradition (japanese, chinese, indian etc).

At the moment, I can show you the first digital sculpt for "The third key"

(here a better pics http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/1313/goiko3.jpg )

He's a Goiko, a strong warrior, anatomically inspired by "dwarf stereotype". However, the similarities with classic dwarf end here, 'cause we have designed a brand new BG and concept, inspired by japanese and Thai cultures.

And a little teaser of new sculpt for another race of "the third key": a Nami warrior.

every detail will be revealed this monday ^^

If you have any question, or you want to discover news and more infos about our range, follow us on our "momentary" official page:

for what concerns technical details of our production, a first "wave" will be released on early fall, with the official presentation at Lucca Comics&Games 2012.

this first "micro-wave" will be made by 3 miniatures, we hope 4 but it's a matter of print-times (I can't guarantee anything unfortunately, but we are working on).

Models that will be certainly available are:

-Goiko warrior for "The third key" range (resin, 30mm scale, price we think 10euros, cents more, cents less)

-Alaspina for "Garou" range (resin, 30mm scale, price not decided yet, but similar to goiko)

-Ramonus for "Garou" range (resin, 30mm scale, price not decided yet but similar to goiko)

we hope to print also:

-Nami warrior for "the third key" range (resin, 30mm scale, price similar to goiko)

but, as I said, this is not sure, and it could be postponed for a month.

Actually you have seen only the Goiko sculpt, monday you will see the nami warrior sculpt.
And soon, we will show also Alaspina and Ramonus, so follow our fanpage for news ;)

See you soon!

And here is the "green" of the second miniature for the range "The third key": a Nami warrior, a graceful but deadly warrior of the sea. It looks very different from Goiko, with this model, we tried to bring in 30mm two basic concepts: lightness and fluidity. This model will be available for early fall, 30 mm scale, top quality resin.

Keep on following ClockWork Paladin!

Looking really good :) I especially like the emphasis on Eastern art aesthetics rather than the rather tired Western ones we usually see in fantasy. I'll definitely keep an eye on this thread :)
