It isn't that they are lonely, just their abilitiy to use technology that is more advanced than rubbing two sticks toegether

It's cause we're mostly in t'pub. You try using facebook, after seven or eight pints and consider your success rate :D

Maybe it is because they are confused with the rest of the worlds use of the word "while"

we can't help it if the rest of the world can't talk proper.

Anyway we're used to being invisible, the UK's largest forgotten city...

funding, government grants, local news, transport planning etc everything revolves around leeds ¬_¬

for example we're still paying for the arena and I believe the tram, and leeds is supposedly getting a centrally funded trolley bus, and they've started building a centrally funded rival arena. Nothing against them having either, but make their local tax payer fund it like ours has...

Well Leeds is the larger city...
Also, this is local council related, which is quite strange given the long time left leanings of Sheffield

Only cause they've crammed people in in the last couple of decades, but they do ignore a big chunk of Sheffield in the official population stats and lump it in with various historical villages that are essentially now housing estates...

It is a small place though,

Oh god yeah it will lol, sorry I'm remembering when I was talking to someone from uni who was from york, and they only ever saw the city centre, a tram to meadowhall and the dual carriageway to the M1 lol.
