New 32mm Game Corpse Hammer - Preview #1

Announcing an exciting new 32mm game from Red Knight Entertainment.

http://rkegames.com/rke/chwebgraphics/CorpseHammerLogo700pxWide.jpg

Corpse Hammer is a Dark Science Fiction/Fantasy miniature game set in a world laden with arcane energies. On one side you have the supernaturally gifted Nephalim Knights defending the immortal populace from the cybernetic hordes of unliving known as the Necrovanum.

Today for preview we have the first unit of 5 that will be shown in the next couple weeks.

These are the Corpse Hammers for House Remegoth, one of the Nephalim Knight Houses. Units are named after their weapons, hence this unit's name.

Using the legendary Corpse Hammer cannon as well as the Houses' own unique Crucigoth Short Sword, these Nephalim Knights are reapers of the damned on the black planet of Sephraxis.

A little background:
I am David Rogers, starting a new 32mm miniature game.
I have currently used every last penny I have to get 29 miniatures printed for my game. I put a strong focus on dynamic one piece miniatures whenever possible. I will be showing all 5 units that comprise these 29 minis over the next couple weeks.
I produce all of my own work from website, graphics, writing, creating, 3d sculpting for printing, logos art etc. I can produce miniatures at a fast pace and hope to be doing so in the future.

I hope to Kickstart the game in early October and with your help, cement a new game to our industries wonderful lineup. The miniatures will be sitting at the mold maker ready to go when the Kickstart begins. This will be a simple Kickstart with no stretch goals as to allow for quick product delivery within a few months after all 29 molds have been made and the miniatures produced. I am just one person doing this and I want to keep it that way concerning all creative work and sculpting for the company. The higher the Kickstart goes, the more minis will be produced in the future. I currently have 47 new minis waiting to go to the 3d printer.

There have been some rather "big" Kickstarts lately so I hope that as a relative unknown there is room for me as well. If you can get behind someone as small as myself I would greatly appreciate. I hope to reach my goal of 40k within a few weeks. I really don't need 40k but there is just something magic about that number. Corpse Hammer 40,000... dollar, Kickstart. Ahem.

Check out the website, you can find out more about me, RKE and all about Corpse Hammer.

The minis are pretty hot, although the details look kinda indistinct on the greys - do you have any painted examples in the works?

Glad to see mono-pose minis getting some love, multi-part kits tend to result in generic looking poses regardless.

Will do painted examples after the Kickstart when they get casted.

Corpse Hammer Preview #2: Necrovanum Hate Faces

Up for preview we have the Necrovanum Hate Faces. Born of dark arcane machine with flesh and cybernetics, the legions of Necrovanum are then raised from their dead state by the Arch Necromassers.

The Hates are the most commonly used troop type amongst the Necrovanum. They are simple to manufacture and require the lowest level programming of their forces. Simple savage beasts, the Hates roam the world of Sephraxis at their dark masters will, lurching, hunching and twisting about every which way, looking and listening for prey with which to consume.

The Hate Faces are the lowest level Hates. They are the cannon fodder of the Necrovanum, a solid step above the refuse of rejected bio-mass initiates grown in the arcane incubation chambers. All the Hates are without arms and jaws with various weapons affixed to their bodies, usually their grim visages. They Hates do not see or have eyes in the traditional sense, rather they have sensors that hone in sharply on movement, waves of emotion and the smells they encounter, thus lending more to their animalistic state and behavior.

The Hate Faces are a fast and light melee unit. 10 models per unit.
Necrovanum Hate Faces (10 minis) - $38
Necrovanum Hate Faces x2 (20 minis) $70 - ($6 Savings)
Necrovanum Hate Faces x3 (30 minis) $96 - ($18 Savings)

All miniatures will be available in the Corpse Hammer Kickstart in early October.
Hate Faces x3 pack will be a Kickstart exclusive deal only.

These are some great looking models

Thank you for your kindness :)

Just a small post on my thoughts of what I am making:
As for the games overall design I was kind of going for a Heman/MOTU (Master of The Universe) type deal where you have big muscles (Heman), big weapons, science fiction (ManAtArms) and of course fantasy with animal mounts, winged mounts etc but the mounts will be more cybernetic so they can take more punishment from the enemy. Of course I like it, want to make it and am taking it seriously as it is work and passion. I am not trying to remake Heman (nor 40K), but just do something cool and fun. I dig the heavy names, I've always been that way, thus Corpse Hammer. I had three names to choose from, all were heavy death metal'sih, sigh, lol. The fact the name has Hammer in it is a happy or not so happy coincidence to 40k. (Shrugs, I make what I like) Ultimately I just wanted to make a cool brutal dark weird blended genre game. I think stuff like that is cool. (Sorry)

As for the Good guys having houses in the world led by barons, counts, warlords, lords etc, I just straight up took that from Medieval stylings as well as a little King Arthur dabblings. Other inspiration came straight up from fantasy vikings and barbarians, both of which I really love.

Here are a couple of high poly snaps that I did to see how far I could push my skill, model details and to see if I could make fun stuff in the future like collectable figures. They are from House Remegoth as well. This is actually the exact same base model used on the mini with identical proportions, just gobs of detail and of course the image is much larger to see. In the future I will be doing art on the website and more so hopefully that will bring the world to life as well as the story, background of course the game and minis.

Some very nice work you got. well sculpted stuff and I can see you've put a lot of thought and creativity into your stuff.

So from one "one man up and coming miniatures company" to another - I sincerely wish you the best of luck with this project!

Corpse Hammer Preview: House Remegoth Death Eaters

Corpse Hammer
For preview we have the House Remegoth Death Eaters. The Death Eaters wield the heavy Crucigoth Butcher Blade as well as the Blade Bulwark Shield. The Crucigoth Butcher Blade is House Remegoth's own unique melee weapon. It is used in powerful strokes to render the Death Eater's enemies asunder. The sword may be turned sideways and used to block incoming ranged attacks from the Necrovanum.

Yet to add to the Death Eater's defensive capabilities is the Blade Bulwark. A thick shield capable of blocking almost any attack, the bulwark has a blade running along its circumference allowing the shield to be swung sideways and used as an additional hand weapon. The Blade Bulwark may also be hurled into enemies, thoroughly engorging the Death Eater's unfortunate enemies.

Usually units are named after their weapons. However since each house has its own unique melee weapon, these melee specific units are given a singular name across all houses. Hence, Death Eaters.

House Remegoth Death Eaters are 4 models per unit.
Death Eaters (4 Minis) - $24
Will be available in the Corpse Hammer Kickstart in early October.

Corpse Hammer Preview: Necrovanum Berserker
For preview we have the Necrovanum Berserkers. The Necrovanum Berserkers have both a ranged Venom Cannon as well as a heavy Necro Syckle for close combat. The Necro Syckle is unusually large for the Berserkers and is difficult to wield under their own power resulting in clumsy or ill planned strikes against the Nephalim Knights. However once per game the Berserkers may engage a Necro Charge through the tubes in their back which floods their body with a heavy amount of powerful toxic fluids embodying them with crushing brute strength and speed. This effect lasts two turns, afterwards leaving them in a more weakened state.

Necrovanum Berserkers (6 minis) - $30
Necrovanum Berserkers x2 (12 minis) $54 - ($6 Savings)
Necrovanum Berserkers x3 (18 minis) $75 - ($15 Savings) (Kickstart Only)
Will be available in the Corpse Hammer Kickstart first week October.

Like the concepts and the detailing, you've got a good aesthetic going on with these guys. Proper biomechanical, not just slapping some bio on some mechanical.

With the Berserkers, the one-piece pose combined with the pair of thin/longish weapons, the poses do seem very 2-dimensional. Have you considered making the syckle-arm a separate piece for these or similar minis? Not sure if that's feasible, though.

House Remegoth Carrion Callers Preview
For preview we have the House Remegoth Carrion Callers. The Carrion Callers are a heavy weapon unit armed with the Carrion Caller Quad Barrel Cannon. Aside from providing a continuous barrage of heavy mid-range firepower the Carrion Caller also has two blades attached at the front allowing the wielder close combat attacks. Anyone within striking distance may be lunged upon and gored by the heavy weapon. Removing one's enemy from the blades requires a simple pull of the trigger. The cannon may also be swung up or down using the blades in the sense of a makeshift axe. In a more defensive role the Carrion Callers also carry the Blood Buckler shield, a smaller version of the Blood Bulwark Shield carried by the Death Eaters.

House Remegoth Carrion Callers come 2 models per unit - $13

Thank you. Also thank you for your encouraging thoughts about multi-peice minis. I thought about it and it is doable. When I get a better 3d app I will work to make the new units multi-piece. One of the reasons I did not want to is that I thought they would be cast in metal. Multi-piece metal is something I did not want to frustrate the average gamer with. However now that I am going with plastic resin that responds very very well to super glue, your reasoning really sits well with me, so I will give it a shot with wave 2 in the future. And someday in the far future will come back and redo these, but not anytime soon. Need to keep moving forward :)
