Howdy all!

With the Beasts of Chaos book looming on the horizon, and a 750pts mini-campaign kicking off soon at my local gaming club, I decided now was the time to return to my beloved Beastmen.

As there are around 20 players with an example of (I think) EVERY army in Warhammer being in the campaign, both newbies and seasoned veterans, I thought an all round list would be a good place to begin.

This is the army list as it stands at the beginning of the campaign:

Hero
Bray Shaman, MoCU, Braystaff, Chaos Armour, Lvl 2, Lore of Beasts
126pts

Core
Beast Herd, 7 Gors, 14 Ungors, Full Command
140pts

6 Warhounds
36pts

6 Warhounds
36pts

Tuskgor Chariot, MoCU
85pts

Tuskgor Chariot, MoCU
85pts

Tuskgor Chariot, MoT
105pts

Special:
3 Minotaurs, GW, MoCU
138pts

751pts

And here are photos of the army as it stood before this project began:

Since taking those photos I have been busy beavering away on a getting everything to the bare minimum of base coated so I can begin to game with them as I work at getting them painted.

The first unit to get my attention is a small unit of warhounds to get me started, only 6 models strong. I decided to convert a couple of them, but nothing drastic, just some added spines on one and tentacles on another.

That said, here they are, pre-basing:

And a couple of links to the unit as a whole:

I am tempted to wash them, the fur at least, but I am very happy with how they look at the moment, although the camera flash kills the highlights on the red, which is a shame. All I need do now is to base them and spray them with Purity Seal (not everyone's favourite sealer but I kind of like the glossy look).

What do you all think?
