hello all!

this year marks the beginning of a prestigious project. The gaming club i'm a part of here in Ghent, Belgium has the chance to be at the annual F.A.C.T.S convention http://www.facts.be/. at this convention we display to the broader public what we are about.

As a gaming club we have people playing every game going from tabletop wargames to boardgames to any other game you want to play. I myself i am responsible for the Warhammer 40k player. this just means that the chairman of the club has a reference point within the community to ask questions or organize certain things.
So it is my job to show the people who come to the F.A.C.T.S. convention what warhammer 40K is all about. to this end we always try to do a giant apocalypse event with much success to date. for next year how ever we will try to do something different. instead of doing one big apocalypse game we're going to run a few smaller games on specially designed tables.

As it would be my job to get the ball rolling i jumped to it and with only 51 weeks to go till the event (yes we had it just last weekend) there is not much time left.

The concept

a battle taking place in a swamp.

i already have beeen busy and this is what i have been able to do so far

i hope to get you guys biweekly updates as to the progress of this table.

kind regards
jacky

Looks like you're off to a good start! I like the idea of the bridge across the swamp, very much. I look forward to seeing more of this.

I like this. i don't think that there is enough water boards now-a-days. I can imagine that bridge is going to be a focus of combat. In my mind I can see a squad of TH/SS terminators holding the bridge against a more numerable foe.

some people have asked me to put some models on the table so they could get a better impression of the dimensions so here it is
