Firestorm Armada

Spartan Games has begun shipping their spaceship combat game...Firestorm Armada. If the system is half as good as their first major release, Uncharted Seas, the gaming community is in for a treat. Very cool fleet designs so far and the starts of what could be a very interesting background. Check it out at:

Anyone who enjoys Battlefleet Gothic should really like this game...the game will come with starship construction rules...and the company endorses the use of any miniatures that you like...

Looks interesting... Any idea on how it'll play? For example does it have measured movement like Gothic or hex based like Star Fleet Battles, is it pretty simplistic like a GW game or again more complicated like a SFB or similar simulation game?

EDIT2: Is there a mistake on the 3rd rulebook page example? http://spartangames.co.uk/images/firestorm/Page_41_Sampler.pdf when they're adding up number of hits shouldn't the final total be 6 not 5 or am I reading that wrong?
