Hi folks.
For those of you who are in the London area, is anyone interested in meeting up and chatting about BL books over a drink or two of your choice?
I've been to the BL Weekender for the last couple of years and it's a good opportunity to meet up with fellow fans, where conversations inevitably turn to discussing plot lines, favourite books and so on. So much so in fact that two of us who met at one of these are wondering if we could arrange something in London.
As ex-gamers and people who have enjoyed the hobby and the books since the early days it's always good to swap stories and discuss the BL books, as these have kept many of us involved in the hobby since the days of gaming. However there hasn't been any way for us like minded souls to gather and enjoy a drink in the same way that, say the gamers clubs cater for those with the time and funds to keep up with the hobby.
So...we're looking to see if we can set something up. Our thoughts are perhaps a monthly meet in a pub to discuss all things BL - given the volume of material out there and especially things like Heresy plot lines to come, this should keep us more than occupied.
When/what/where...
Where: meeting in a pub in North London, as it's well connected – we're thinking Angel because there is a good selection of proper pubs. Depending on interest we can ask around to see if we can have an area of a bar to ourselves. More details as they arrive.
When: first meeting will probably be Wed 19th Feb, from 6pm.
What: few beers to get to know each other and discuss what we fancy doing
