Star Wars X-Wing Versus Star Trek Attack Wing?

I made a video about my opinions on the differences between X-Wing and Attack Wing, and why I picked the game that I did (SPOILER: I picked X-Wing).

I agree 100% that the game mechanics seem to be better for fighters and dog fighting. But, back in the late 80's, early 90's, we played a chit based game called 'Starfleet Battles'.
There were 100's of ships to choose from, and maybe a dozen different factions. Everything from the Federation to Klingon, Lyran, Gorn, Tholian, etc.
Power usage was a big part of the game, as you had to allocate power to shields,weapons, attempting the crazy maneuvers (like you can do in X-Wing), and a bunch of other stuff.

I think they even had a PC platform video game based on SFB. The big problem was, the rulebook was HUGE. With addendum coming out all the time.

The game WAS great though. If WizKids could simplify the SFB rules, and use their ships in a game of that sort...it would be a home run IMO.
