I know I'm starting early this year hard Boys, but I am tired of scramblin to get a list together the past years, and trying to borrow all the models for my army in the last few days before the tourney. So here goes the 2500pter I want to play this year.

HQ: CCS, Creed, Regimental Banner, Bodyguard, Officer of the fleet, 200pts
HQ: Yarrick, 185pts

Elite: Marbo, 65pts
Elite: Psyker Battle Squad, 10, Chimera, Heavy Flamer, Multi Laser, 165pts
Elite: 10 Ratlings, 100pts

Troop: Infantry Platoon, 300pts
- PCS: 30pts
- Squad 1: PW, LC, MG, 90pts
- Squad 2: PW, LC, MG, 90pts
- Squad 3: PW, LC, MG, 90pts

Troop: Infantry Platoon, 315pts
- PCS: 30pts
- Squad 1: PW, LC, PG, 95pts
- Squad 2: PW, LC, PG, 95pts
- Squad 3: PW, LC, PG, 95pts

Troop: Veterans, Demo Specialists, 3MG, PP, 140pts

Troop: Veterans, Demo Specialists, 3MG, PP, 140pts

Troop: Veterans, Harker, HB Team, 3 Snipers, 165pts

Heavy Support: Leman Russ, 150pts

Heavy Support: Executioner, Plasma Cannons, 230pts

That's about it. Wish I could get some points somewhere to tool up the PCS, but i ran out.:( :(
I really like this list so far, its a lot better than last years list where I ran 9 LRBT, and mobs of guard laden with commissars. Would have been better, but those 3 games were the first games i ever played IG with, so I didn't fare too well.

Well my friend, I must say this is a rather flavorful list, a dash of this, a dash of that. Could fare well, but in my experience, there are just some flavors that don't taste good. Here's a few suggestions:

1) Drop the power weapons...you have Creed and yes he gives you Furious Charge and all that jazz but you have 6 shooting Infantry Squads...those power weapons could be turned into a more effective endeavor. (i.e. Vox-Casters)

2) Plasma Pistols, drop as well...again, another cluster of points that are going to waste, you'll want to use these elsewhere.

3) Upgrade those Valkyries to have Multiple Rocket Pods, constantly on the move dropping 4 Pie Plates makes for a party.

4) Ratlings...10 of them...I don't think this would be useful...Yes Rending is nice, Pinning is nice, but again, 50 points that could be spent elsewhere.

5) Harkers Squad...It's just...well okay, I'll come out and say it: NO! I mean this is all opinion so you can take it with a grain of salt. 3 snipers, again, don't even think about it man, you have other weapons you can use more effectively (Melta or Plasma, at this point I would go with Plasma, for the upcoming 'Nids and MEQ) Drop Harker and replace homeboy for a Chimera and make these guys a drive-by killer.

6) I would replace the Plasma Guns in the Infantry Platoon Squads with either Flamers or Grenade Launchers to more effectively saturate the field with fire. Granted the AP 2 is nice, but you don't want to chance losing guys from your own weapons. Also, downgrade the Lascannons to Autocannons, more shots, more effective light armor killer.

7) You have a mess of points that you can work with, at this point, I would go for more Chimeras or more bodies. More shots + More Kill Points= Better end result.

You don't think he should try to rope in a Comissar so he can get the option to blob up? Yarrick is fine or whatever, but kick him to the curb and add in some more armor?

To me it seems that you have a lot of sizzle, but not enough steak. You have 385pts tied up in HQ with no clear purpose, and your platoons are scatter shot. If you're taking Creed, you should take HWS to use "Bring it down on"

You've also split a little too evenly between foot and mech. You've done your opponent a favor in presenting nearly every type of target to him.

You're spending a small fortune on harker, but he has no clear purpose. I'd consider swapping the sniper rifles for GLs, so the squad has more punch on the move.

Lascannons and meltas dont' really belong together. you'll never fire both in a single turn.

all in all, I'd consider dropping the Plasma pistols, power weapons, yarrick and the body guard and invest in some HWS's (if you want to keep creed) upgrade the LRBT to another executioner, and get some flamers for your PCSs.

Swap Yarrick for a normal Commy and pick yourself up a big blob of dudes (40-50 men, WH Priests which are NOT ICs, power weapons and meltas) to tie up/kill things. Much better combat troops.

Combine that with blobs of lascannon infantry, more vehicles, better Russ variants (Demo or Plascutioner, that's about it), maybe something fun to outflank (Repentia for lolz) and less junk (plasma pistols, Yarrick, sponsons).

Good and characterful roster, I use the same time-tested combo.
What do you thing of swapping Creed with Straken? He fights better and have a nice auto-FC aura. And he combo with Yarrick just pefectly.
Swap MG to PG, you will need every bit of extra range, give one platoon a commie (yarrick goes in second blob) and give sarges PW- they will counterattack with Straken and dish 12 (rerollable) PW attacks. Or attack with FC for MASSIVE damage
Drop one valk/take vend or swap for 2 hydras (optional), upgrade to vend the second.
Drop one/both demovets- you will need these points. And if you need Harky, give his boys 3 plasmas. On quarters deployment he with Rats will hold well and force the enemy to divide his strike.

Everything else is like in my tournament roster with some changes:)
