Hey all, I love my 40k stuff to death, but some times I can't afford the upgrade bits from Forgeworld. The look awesome and have tons of character, but 20 USD for one Psycannon for my Land Raider is something I just cannot afford.

But I also do not support people who rip off other people's work. Just because something is expensive does not make it okay to under cut them. If they want to force themselves out of business with high prices, so be it. Just because a country will not allow someone to prosecute doesn't make it right...

So, I am proposing making a list of companies that make their own molds for parts and bits that can be fit into 40k pieces. To kick things off, I found this small business on Ebay (http://www.ebay.com/sch/bitspudlo_com/m.html?item=301199416242&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562)

They have a web site too: Bitspudlo.com

Their stuff looks decent and the prices are reasonable, especially if you get multiple items. I'm looking at their Twin-AA Guns emplacement as replacement Autocannon arms for my Ven. Dreadnaught.

So, anyone else find decent "alternate" parts for your 40k armies? If so, PLEASE SHARE!

http://www.thewarstore.com/ The War Store stocks dozens of different companies, many of whose pasts 'just happen' to fit perfectly with 40k's scale. I especially like MaxiMini and Kromlech. Since you're ordering from one source, you can save on shipping. You can even order GW product from them at 20% off, but you have to jump through some hoops for it; specifically, you have to either email them telling them what you want, get a quote, then email them again approving it, or order something else then add a note to the order saying 'throw in _____.'

https://curiousconstructs.theslowcentury.com/ocart/ Curious Constructions is a new company that makes some very nice 40k scale weapons. I've ordered a bunch of their pistols for a project I'm working on. They're in the UK though, so postage will probably run more than the actual parts.

I've had the AA guns from Bitspudlo, it was the worst cast i've ever received and no one replied to my complaint. Obiously this is just my experience, but it wasn't a good one.

in the uk, Curious Constructs, Anvil and Zinge have all given me excellent service and great parts, in the EU, MicroArts Studio, Maxmini, Kromlech and Evil Craft have been amazing too.

Well if we are going to get all parochial and nationalistic about it, *gets out the Vegemite and hat withe corks on it* crikey.

Vicky's (http://victoriaminiatures.highwire.com/) stuff is always good.

And for scenic bases you can do a hell of a lot worse than these guys (http://stores.ebay.com.au/Back-to-Base-ix?_trksid=p2047675.l2563).

Is this China forge you mean or Chapterhouse? ;)

Huh. Now I'm wondering if I should get it. Did you give them a negative review on Ebay? Their feedback is at 100% which seems rather odd for almost any seller on Ebay. I'll have to look into it more before I put my money down.

And thanks to everyone who has posted! Seeing some really cool stuff!

Any of them that say they are selling FW or anyone else's stuff but are selling knockoffs. I know most of it comes out of China but I heard that Russia is also a big producer of counterfeits.
