I have recently started lotr in the past few months and i hve:

Boromir cpt of white tower
24 warriors of mian tirith
6 knights of mians tirith
3 knights of dol armoth on foot
20 warriors of the dead
King of the dead

I am thinking of going to war of the ring, and i am going to add some more warriors.
I also hve painted half of my warriors blue and white colours of dol armoth.

not a bad way to start of a wotr gondor list.
i think cryl is right in that big blocks of warriors of mt is the way to go.
i'm a big fan of the knights as they are cheap and lances rock.
foot knights are too expensive if you ask me. nice models though
using the king of the dead in his legandary formation is awesome, cuz they have awesome rules.

hope i helped.

the avenger bolt throwers are pretty sweet too.
and my new fav unit is the wardens of the keys. D8 without shields! big fan. converting mine up right now.
long bows go a long way too btw

oh and dont give boromir the banner of the white tower. i dont think its worth the points for it...

I agree that you need to reduce the upgrades, however, I would say drop the captains. Epic Heroes can fulfil their roles better and banner bearer's give you the ability to re-roll charges if need be and double your chances of remaining steadfast and are cheaper.I don't think you need to remove all of the upgrades, but each captain can get you two companies of knights or warriors. The Grey Company could do with another company, but could be okay as is and the rangers of Ithilien would need at least two more companies.

Thanks
