Does anyone else get the feeling from these "updates" that they are just making this movie up as they go along? ;)

After seeing Avatar in the theatre I was possessed by a vision of the possibilities of Cameron's "world building" technology and specifically how it could be used to envision the 41st Millennium. My dream is that one day someone uses this technology to tell the story of the Horus Heresy…in 3D!

It's taking them frickin' forever for them to get done with the "angry at my dad" marines update.

Interesting tech... But as it was said earlier, making it up as they go along. What I wouldn't do to have a man Like cameron at the helm.

I don't know if "making it up as they go along" is a fair criticism for pre-production. Every production has a stage like this where people go, "Hey, what kind of technology should we use for facial animation?"

I question the marketing strategy of publicizing your pre-production work, but it doesn't necessarily make me worried for the integrity of the project.

I'd say it's a good thing for a production to be flexible enough to be able to incorporate new technologies if it leads to better results. Especially when the new technologies work.
