You want people to donate at least $10,000 of their money for you to open a store?

A "store" which is really a glorified clubhouse which is at least 70% gaming tables, but only 10% product to sell?

For how small your town is, and how little product you're looking at carrying, you could sell and game out of your garage.

But that clubhouse? It'll go under as soon as you burn through your seed money.

Not a penny from me, though. You want to build a clubhouse, better you do it on your own dime.

If you really wanted to make a go of it, you'd look at the smallest possible shop, the entire back area would be retail product storage, most of the front would be product for sale, and you'd limit yourself to 2 gaming tables.

Maybe this will become the new "Potato Salad" and these guys will end up with something like a Vegas casino-hotel. ;)

You can't even finish (or start on most models) painting your army. What makes you think you will have the drive to start a business?

This is one of the worst pitches I've ever seen, you have no idea how to go about running a business and you're asking people to give you money for what??

Your stretch goals are nonsensical. You want to purchase a building for $10,000? Minus the Kickstarter and Amazon payments fees and any shipping of the specially printed foam novelty d20s or whatever.

Where will your stock go? You have gaming tables all over the "Main Sales Area" and no room for inventory.

Have you spoken to stockists? Who will be delivering your inventory? What companies have you spoken to and what stock levels do you have to have to get discounts with them? You're offering a 10% discount to people when you don't even know what your costs will be, thats insane.

What retail experience do you have?

Does that include managerial experience?

Do you have evidence to show your contribution helped to actively grow the customer base?

Have you looked into your overall customer base in the area?

Have you considered there isn't a current store in your area for a good reason?

Dudes, running a business is difficult. Running such a niche business is doubly difficult. It's not a case of 'if you build it, they will come'. Retail is a hard, and largely thankless task. What are your plans to engage with those not currently involved in your hobby? How are you going to lure them in? Yes, a busy store attract more customers (quirk of human nature), but consider what your store may be heaving with - stereotype of socially awkward, hygieneically challenged nerds? Sadly that exists for good reason.

If you're planning on letting club members use your bathroom, have you considered the impact this might have on your public liability inurance?

How much is your first year's rent, what's the mark up on each product - how will you tackle the ever present issue of B&M Stores doing the intro, but losing the sales to Websites that can offer a deeper discount? How much of a wage are you two looking to draw down from this?

The A's for Discount - I think that's a ropey idea at best. Remember, strategy games tend to appeal to the smarterer end of the spectrum. You may well find yourself selling at a discount most of the time. Can your profit margin cope with that? If not, what's the back up plan?

How much money can you afford to lose on this if it goes wrong?

How long can you and your partner live without drawing a wage from this business?

Why have you selected the location for your store?

It's pretty sure that they can afford to lose everything that backers donate.

I'm pretty sure they're living in their parents homes.

I'm pretty sure that's the town they live in.

As above, this is trying to get people to fund a clubhouse / lifestyle.
