looks pretty solid, but you might have trouble with mech IG. consider trying to fit some scouts in, these are always money for me, but i do play IG and tau often.

yea these second two lists look very lethal. i run that same scout setup and it works for me about everytime. I see bjorn is used in alot of your lists, and i was wondering how he fares for you in your games. is he worth it? i always liked his fluff but have yet to use him. also do you a dread converted as him?

I've found that the old man fares pretty well; granted, I make my best efforts to try and keep him safe. He has more than won back his points in almost every game that he has been in. (His latest achievement is killing Khan along with a 5 man bike Command Squad in Close Combat) Additionally, I take advantage of his benefits after he has been blown up.

The key to winning in many cases with the old man is playing to what your opponent wants out of him. In kill points, your opponent wants to wipe out everyone who comes near Bjorn because he can provide your opponent with an additional 3 Kill Points. Also, in Objectives, after Bjorn dies he becomes an Objective. If you play your cards right, you can bait your opponent into a position that he is not going to enjoy (i.e. in Objectives, keep Bjorn to the rear along with the Thunderwolf Cavalry, when they come to try and claim him your opponent will not be pleasantly surprised.

For Bjorn, I actually use the OLD OLD Venerable Dreadnought back when only the Space Wolves could field them. However, I feel that the new Venerable Kit can portray his character much more effectively with some conversions so I may make a change.

One more possible list, this is a complete change over; however, it gives me something to do as I have yet to finish all of my Cavalry models.

First 3 are kinda meh. 1 Land Raider and a handful of other vehicles will not be hard to bring down at 2500.

Last one is a lot better. All it's missing is a Rune Priest.

There's a problem with the Rune Priest idea...you see, I could just put them in the Razorback with the Grey Hunters...however, they would be useless almost the entire game as the entire force is going to be moving and the only time the Grey Hunters MAY get out would be to Assault if anything...so no use there.

The only other option so that the crazy heads could keep up with the Army would be to mount them on bikes since they can't take Thunderwolf mounts...I guess I'll plop two in there.

Now the issue with the 1 Land Raider...no one ever gets a clear shot on it and if it goes up, it generally does not bother me as the Wolf Guard inside are more often then not not, not too much farther from where they need to be. With Bjorn's re-roll, I have more of a confidence in deployment and maneuvering.

I'll make a few changes later on and post those soon.

The Rune Priest is there for his psychic defense and 24" is a long way for coverage. Toss in Storm Caller and those Razors will always have cover.

After much deliberation, I went with the following:

H.Q.

Canis -180

Rune Priest
Bike, Chooser of the Slain, Psychic Powers: Living Lightning, Tempests Wrath -145

Rune Priest
Bike, Psychic Powers: Jaws of the World Wolf, Storm Caller -135

Thunderwolf Cavalry 4x

Total: 2510

I'll probably take the Wolf Tooth Necklace off of a Rune Priest or something like that to make the 10 point difference. The Rune Priests are on bikes as that is the only way they would be able to keep up with the Army and they cannot take Thunderwolf Mounts. In all honesty, the only group that I foresee having problems with may be Leaf Blower lists...of which I have only faced one in the past year and even then I'm pretty sure with the amount of bodies as well as cover being provided both by meat shields and Storm Caller will get me into their lines by the 2nd turn if not the first.
