Terminology

Hey guys!

One of our contributors just posted a nice list of the various Carnifex builds (http://shiftedmatrix.com/index.php?/Tabletop-Games/Popular-Carnifex-Loadouts) and their usual nicknames. I thought I would pick all of your brains and see if there were any we missed.

I've seen this one a lot.

Boom(er)fex - 113pts
1x Scything Talons
Barbed Strangler
- usually one that fits in an elite slot

I've seen the Uber fex be called the Godfex as well.

One note on the "Ninjafex"... having Flesh Hooks is meaningless without taking the Adrenal Gland (Init). Fex's start with an Init of 1.

Gunfex and Sniper fex are the same. The gunfex is not an upgraded sniperfex...

Unless he plays with a lot of vertically impassable terrain, I suppose.

I've always heard God/Uberfex refer to CC fexes, usually with Crushing Claws.

There's also the Pie-fex, Weapons: BS/TL deathspitter, Biomorphs optional. It's not super popular but it's cheaper and has a little more anti infantry oomph. I run one and like the DS better than the constantly undeperforming VC.

For what its worth, I've never heard of a 'Shriekerfex'. Usually its just 'Heavy Dakkafex'. Sniperfex and Gunfex are usually interchangeable to. For the most part, the terms refer to weapon loadout, and then you can add whichever biomorphs you can squeeze in, I.E Giving a Sniperfex more upgrades dosn't make it a Gunfex.
