Saw this on facebook as others had liked the official page.
Google brought up the pc gamer article (http://www.pcgamer.com/warhammer-40000-inquisitor-martyr-announced/) first, had been hoping for a steam page.

The Lord Inquisitor GK teaser trailer with the same lines was a lot better delivered than in this video.

True, and was probably prettier.

Never even heard of them, what did they play like?

well they are what I think of as Titan Quest style games, and made by some of the same people. Diablo-esque.

Not the kind of RPG I was hoping for :(

I am really looking forward to it. other RPGs would be welcome, but I want this one, especially coming from a studio with a lot of experience in the style.

I'd prefer more story less hack and slash.

well there is a decent story in the Helsing games, and a lot in Grim Dawn too.

I'll have to watch some lets plays when it appears as the diablo series bored the hell out me, maybe i'm reading too much into diablo-esque.

yeah the Diablo games don't have that much going on, but the there is no reason why the games as a genre can't have a decent plot. as they are open world games they have a lot of scope for wandering around, finding clues, piecing together events. could work well for an Inquisitor game.

I've said for years the fallout engine would work, VATS could be explained away for an inquisitor quite easily "Valuable ArcheoTech Shooting" or something.

I wonder if you'll be limited to an inquisitor or if you can be a hired a gun or santioned psyker or something?

Kirsten

probably an Inquisitor, but with different classes. the final cut of the Hellsing trilogy had six classes to choose from.

so we have a choice of the three ordos and radical or puritan to give you six if they're just reskinning van helsing?

Kirsten

possibly, I doubt it would stick to that number or just be a reskin though. the classes they have made previously have all been pretty different and creative, even including a sort of exo-armour with cannon. there will at least be a few melee classes, a ranged class, a psyker class, with flexibility to employ different approaches.

Hi guys!

Here are the latest (news) DevBlog posts about Inquisitor Martyr!

For those who missed them, we started a video series called “Inquisitorial Logs“, and so far we presented you two episodes that show various features.
https://www.neocoregames.com/2016/09/revisit-inquisitorial-logs/

- The latest ones (videos included):
Nurglings are nasty little creatures that swarm Inquisitors, essentially overwhelming them… but how exactly are they programmed in a complex, destructible environment?
https://www.neocoregames.com/2016/09/hordes-warhammer-40000-inquisitor-martyr/
- In Inquisitor – Martyr, you’ll be able to explore a whole Galactic sector in the Segmentum Tempestus, called the Caligari Sector. There are four major layers in this explorational mode, as you zoom in from the Caligari sector overview through subsectors to the smallest points of interests (such as planets, moons, etc.), and their surfaces where you select your mission.
https://www.neocoregames.com/2016/10/open-world-look-caligari-sector/
- The sector overview is the highest and broadest of the four zoom layers, but you’ll use it less frequently. So let’s take a step forward, and zoom in on a subsector, which is even more interesting in terms of gameplay. https://www.neocoregames.com/2016/10/open-world-subsectors-caligari-sector/

Feel free to share your thoughts! What do you think about it so far?
