Hello There,
We`ve lots of new releases for you this newsletter, with some serious reinforcements on the way for both the Raven Guard Space Marines and the Orks! All of this is of course because our latest Imperial Armour book, Raid on Kastorel-Novem, has just hit the shelves, (so to speak). This tells the story of a surprise attack by the forces of the Imperium against a vital Ork world and the desperate battles that follow. You can see more about our new book Here (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Imperial_Armour_Books/IMPERIAL-ARMOUR-EIGHT-RAID-ON-KASTOREL-NOVEM.html).

Thanks
Alan Bligh

New pre-orders are:

Shadow Captain Korvydae (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space_Marine-Infantry-Accessories/RAVEN-GUARD-SHADOW-CAPTAIN-KORVYDAE.html)

Raven Guard Upgrade Set (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space_Marine-Infantry-Accessories/RAVEN-GUARD-SPACE-MARINES-UPGRADE-PACK.html)

Ork Warkopta (http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Orks/ORK-CHINORK-BIG-COPTA.html)

I'll be waiting for the Mek Dread and the Grot Tanks though.

Oh I like. I especially love the helicopter design. Where do the Orks go, just holding that railing in between? The danger and recklessness invovled in such a design is so....Orky. Screw armored troop holds. Hell no, these Orks hold on for dear life.

I'm not really seeing the RG upgrade as a viable purchase- for GBP16, you get some MkVI heads, bodies (Both of which you get on a regular sprue, save the laurels), shoulder guards (again, not hard to get your hands on plastic studded pads), bolters and (what appears to be only 4 corvus-style) backpacks... Seems like the only thing you would get in the pack that you can't find in plastic is the bolters, RG symbol shoulder pads, and the backpacks...

I understand FW is inherently expensive, but does anyone else see something I'm not, or is the Red Scorpions MKIV veteran upgrade a far better deal for the resin (11 bodies and heads, enough shoulder pads for them all, and weapons for the sergeant)? I understand this may be apples to oranges, but for the same price it seems an apt comparison.

The Chinork makes me grin...

The Chinork is nice, but I could make one in plastic from a trukk, three Deff Koptas and a cheap fighter-bomber kit from Hobbytown USA. I must also mention that the Grot Tanks are awesome!!!

... so? That would cost more.

While it's not up on the forgeworld site yet:
The Lifta-droppa upgrage for battlewagons, will be up in about two weeks.

Go to the GW mainsite for more info and a nice piture of it.

Those grot tanks are what I'm really waiting for though, they look awesome.

... so? That would cost more.

Perhaps, but it would look better and be made of plastic, not that troublesome resin.

... but it would COST more.

Not everyone is insanely rich. The FW Chinork costs roughly eighty eight bucks in US dollars, quite a bargain compared to what you'd pay for your idea-- almost 200. If you REALLY want to brag about what you could convert into a Chinork, you should do it while costing LESS than the Chinork :P

I love the new Raven Guard, but my wife would KILL me if I started ANOTHER Space Marine army. I may just pick it up and file down/cover some of the more Raven iconography with Angels or Inquisition icons.

Or maybe I'll pick it up for that Deathwatch diorama I've been wanting to put together for the last couple of years...
