So, how do you guys feel about the American's getting screwed out of their victory?

Who are you rooting for?

I am rooting for America and Brasil.

ENGLAND!!

although i must say, watched the american game, was shocked by that awful decision the ref made. clearly a goal and if not a goal then a penalty for 3 different fouls lol. and in that situation you award the goal.

but the ref's have been awful the whole cup. either ignoring some of the worst fouls, or being over trigger happy with the yellow cards.

lol at the Ivory Coast raging, and attacking the Brasilian players because they were getting pwned during the game.

Funny to see Kaka stand up for his team and fight back.

The England Squad visited a South African orphanage today.

"Its nice to see the glimmer of hope in their eyes even when them seem to have lost it all" said Joshua Mabenwe aged 6.

Heard a little boy ask his mother, in a very loud voice, for a 'vulvazulu' yesterday.

By this point all I can say is... F*** off America! EN-GA-LAND!

But the realist in me just wants to point out that Spain are the favorites. On the other hand, the so called 'Group Of Death' in G has revealed my real choice... Portugal.

They've already beat USA in the "Get 2nd place in Group C" competition.
I don't doubt their competitive prowess!

Not too comfortable with Germany vs. England.

Currently its...
R1 Argentina vs. Mexico
R2 England vs. Germany
R3 USA vs. Ghana
R4 Uruguay vs. South Korea

So...
Q1 (predict) Argentina vs. Germany
Q2 (predict) USA vs. Uruguay

I'm sort of following New Zealand's progress in this cup. We have one more match in our pool; the decider as to whether we advance or not.

Amusing side story: Trevor Mallard, an MP, wants a public holiday if we beat / draw with Paraguay on Friday morning NZT. It'd be awesome if it happened, but I don't think it will.

Results thus far:
All Whites 1 Slovakia 1
All Whites 1 Italy 1
All Whites ? Paraguay ?

EDIT: I am now disinterested in this tournament now. We drew nil-all with Paraguay. We came third in our pool. We are out. Sad trombone.

Another fun day of world cup action again today :P. I seriously hope that fifa wake up and realise that its the 2010 world cup not 1910!

At least england arent winning the cup though, now the rest of the uk can be spared the media bombardment that would have followed XD.

The krauts have toweled Aus and UK but we beat 'em 2 - 0 where it really matters :P I think they look the goods this time around though.

I should point out that the real World Cup is on next year in New Zealand :D

It's also worth pointing out that England has a team in this one that actually like playing together and may even stand a chance of getting to the final.

One last point worth noting: One England football team got to the semi-finals in the World Cup, but they were ladies and only paid about £16k per year. Something to think on really.

Bunch of overpaid, misogynistic, borderline rapists. Where else in the world can you get paid £100,000 a week to be crap at your job?

F&%£^"* hate football, glad its over.
