[1850] 2 Tournament Wolf options

Need criticism; I'm torn between these 2 lists at the moment, but both are open to heavy criticism. Competitive and meant for all comers, thanks in advance:

Both lists are fine, the only changes i would consider are the equipment on the Wolf Lords... they both have lots of relatively "unnecessary" things. I would set them up like this:

Canis Wolfborn 185

Wolf Lord - Wolf Claw, Storm Shield, Saga of the Warrior Born, Thunderwolf 230

Dropping the second Rune Priest and combining it with the 110 points we just saved, add a third Wolf Lord:

Wolf Lord - Thunder Hammer, Storm Shield, Saga of the Beastslayer, Thunderwolf 215

These are the 3 wolf Lords i run in every tournament, and they fare very well. I would consider exchanging the Thunderwolves for Fenrisian Wolves (a unit of 10 for each wolf lord is 240 points, the same as your TWolves) so that the Wolf Lords dont need to split off from their bodyguard, but that's all personal taste.

it seems that with the 5man grey hunter squads, you're giving up alot of easy kill points. as character driven as the space wolves are, i would consider dropping one of the wolf lords or rune priests and either beefing up your grey hunter squads or giving them either rhinos or razorbacks depending on your taste. That being said how do you play either list? if you opt for a more reactionary style then razor backs are great for whittling down incoming units for a counter assault by the grey hunters. rhinos as a whole are great and surprisingly survivable and make a cheap expendable screen for the big unit of twc.

I agree a little bit with what's been said, especially about the Grey Hunters.

In my experience Grey Hunters are superstars. They fight like CSM wish they could and they pack special weapons like Vanilla Marines dream they could. You can easily best any other MEQ all things considered.

Long story short, you definitely want bigger squads with more toys. As a rule I keep things spartan on most things but GH can make full use of pretty much every upgrade available to them (except for plasma pistols...they still suck...)
