Not sure about this one.. someone enlighten me.
a squad of termies and a librarian gate. Gate states they move as per the deep strike rules.
1. So does that mean they can't assault? I'm assuming they can't.
2. Since traveling via deep strike rules does that mean a locator beacon on scout bikes would get rid of the scatter? i would assume that there would be no scatter and no risk of a loss.
just two questions that are floating around in my head.
seems to me that if deep strike rule prevents the assault (con), the locator beacon would prevent the scatter (pro) no?

for your first question: yes they cannot assault as they entered play using deep strike

and your second: and yes to this one also...since they arrive by deep strike you are able to utilize the locator beacon and can deploy anywhere within 6 inches of the beacon...so when you deep strike using the beacon you bypass you needing to scatter and the ability to roll 2d6 from the scatter...but remember when you use gate of infinity you can only deep strike within 24 inches from the spot you started out at the beginning of the turn
