  1. 40K Roleplay Campaign: To Sakovhim - part 2.4 - Phaelolaeum and Politics

    Dark Eldar Politics

As in all things, the Dark Eldar are predatory, selfish, and self-serving. It is therefore of no surprise to find the vast majority of the Lemarchand Kabal are dyed-in-the-wool capitalist opportunists. That is not to say that there is no differentiation of belief amongst the various members of the Kabal; indeed, as a whole, the beliefs of the Kabal can be broken down across social and class-based groupings.

Firstly, outlook depends on whether one

well my Red Templers are coming along nicely.

Am curently working on the Command Squad and Captain right now.

  3. Starting a Second Army

    52 Weeks of 40K - Week 2

It happens to every wargamer. After a year, or more, of fielding variations from the same Codex against one of the fifteen armies in the 41st millennium, a gamer begins to wonder. Perhaps Dark Angels being able to take Bikers as Troops with Sammael has got you considering the possibilities of leaving Chaos for loyalists. Or maybe the withering, long-range ...

    Human Politics

The humans on Kepler 22b are split into two distinct groups; those who descended from the Bifrosti 121st, and the superhuman warriors of the Adeptus Astartes.

The Bifrosti were a dour people to begin with, but since their arrival, have prospered and grown, settling on many continents, many nations, and spreading through every strata of society. As a result, it is impossible to make any true generalisations about them. Generally speaking, there are certain

  5. 40K New Year’s Hobby Resolutions Tips

    52 Weeks of 40K - Week 1

Happy New Year, gamers of the 41st Millenium! It's 2014 and with Warhammer 40,000 6E still going strong with a shiny new Tyranid Codex right around the corner, it’s time to set some yearly hobby goals. While many will vow to paint 120 Termagants before the first local tournament in 4 days, the vast majority will fail miserably within the first

  6. 40K Roleplay Campaign: To Sakovhim - part 2.2 - Phaelolaeum and Politics

    Tau Politics

Despite having seceded from T’au rule and thus officially ‘abandoning’ the caste system, the E’Krati still cling resolutely to the traditional roles and responsibilities of their people, and the political leanings and affiliations of an individual E’Krati will depend in very large part, on which caste they were born into. There are seven to consider: in addition to the traditional Ethereal, Fire, Earth, Water and Air castes, there is also the Rootless caste, which none

  7. Dive! Dive! Dive!

Greetings, my gamer friends! This blog post is all about stats. Which are cool. And of which we have much. I’m working on a yearly/monthly “state of war games” type report which’ll give kind of a dashboard of the battles that were reported on iToysoldiers. I think it’s pretty slick. I’ll even be commenting on the 2013 stats when they’re available in four days – not that I’ll be commenting on the first. That’s just silly talk but they mechanism to generate the stats will be available. If you want ...
  8. 40K Roleplay Campaign: To Sakovhim - part 2.1 - Phaelolaeum and Politics

    The Political Landscape of Phylolaeum

Phylolaeum has a peculiar class system, largely predicated upon the curious conflation of the Necron feudalist culture, the overweening theocratic totalitarianism of the Imperial way of life, the collectivist socialism of the Tau, and the Machiavellian social Darwinism of the Dark Eldar. As a result of these cultures mixing more freely, and over a longer period than has ever been known in any other point within the Imperium, a curious brand of

  9. Forging the Narrative 2

Greetings, my friends! I'm churning away at various fiddly bits on the site and doing some research on narrative campaigns. One of the best resources I've found (other than a bunch of examples from various folks on the Internet) is this site called, "Going on Campaign" (http://goingoncampaign.blogspot.ca/). It talks about how to go about organizing a campaign, scoring it, making it interesting and fun as well as the various mechanics that need to be in place to ensure success. I'm a pretty ...
  10. 40K Roleplay Campaign: To Sakovhim - part 1 - Phaelolaeum

    Phaelolaeum

Phaelolaeum is, by convention, one of the Kepler’s seven continents. Comprising the westernmost peninsula of the central supercontinental mass known as Pankeplae, Phaelolaeum is generally divided from the continental mass of Nova Albitern by the watershed divides of the Yeрanteya and Kokeses Mountains, as well as the mighty
