  1. 40K Roleplay Campaign: To Sakovhim - part 3.6 - Traditional Working Class

    Traditional Working Class

The oldest of all the classes, the Traditional Working Class have very little money, very little culture, and very little power. Despite this, in many ways, it is the backbone of Phylolael society; what culture it does have, in many ways, embodies the past of Phylolaem, and this past influences the present significantly. This is the class with the oldest members, and as a result, has a great deal of experience, as well as meaning many own properties, however

  2. 40K Roleplay Campaign: To Sakovhim - part 3.5 -New Affluent Workers

    New Affluent Workers

Making up about 15% of the population of Phylolaem, the New Affluent Workers come from any and all of the species which occupy the continent. Mostly made up of younger members of the species, or else those who are only just emerging into the new roles the Kepler Covenant has made possible, this is a class group which is extremely active socially, as well as showing interests in any aspects of culture and art which are new. This group has a middle level of economic

  4. 40K Roleplay Campaign: To Sakovhim - part 3.4 - The Technical Middle Class

    Technical Middle Class

A small, distinctive new class group, the technical middle class is highly prosperous but has little interest in either society, culture or the arts. Distinguished by its social isolation and cultural apathy, the technical middle classes are interested primarily in self-advancement and acquisition. Dominated almost entirely by young E’Krati and Bifrosti, the class is concerned with the acquisition of wealth above all things. Highly skilled, often in extremely

    52 Weeks of 40K - Week 5

So now that you’ve begun your journey with a new army, you may find your old army is just sitting on a shelf or languishing in a stack of foam. There’s no reason your army couldn’t be doing something more!

One of the first thing you should consider is whether you plan to play the army again. Perhaps there were models you wanted to

    Established Middle Class

    Archetypal Personality Traits
Members of the Established Middle Class, are the second wealthiest of the classes, and make up about 25% of Phylolael society. They have high economic capital, as well as high status placements within social organisations and institutions, as well as an interest and engagement in highbrow and emerging cultural movements. The largest and most gregarious of all the classes, the tend to be made up of a curious mix of the highly

  7. Forging Your Narrative

    52 Weeks of 40K - Week 4

Having come to the miniature wargaming hobby from years of role-playing games, I’ve embraced the idea of using my miniatures to tell a story of epic conflict in the 41st Millennium. I wholly believe even the most competitive tournament player can increase his and his opponent’s enjoyment of this hobby by peppering their games with bits of a story ...

  8. 40K Roleplay Campaign: To Sakovhim - part 3.2 - The Elite Class

    The Elite Class

    Archetypal Personality Traits
The Elites presently own 85% of the wealth of Phylolaem, and make up 5% of the population. Naturally expecting to find themselves at the top of the pecking order, the Elites are, to an individual, utterly entitled. Born to wealth, power and privilege, the vast majority of social structures that exist in Phylolaem are built and bent to the serve the needs of the Elites. This is not to say that the Elites are more evil, cruel, or

    52 Weeks of 40K - Week 3

If you've come to the decision on what your next army will be your biggest obstacle will be acquiring the models needed to field your new force. If you are a gamer first, I cannot stress enough that you should have an army list in mind before purchasing models. There are 2 main ways to acquire models, buy them new and buy them used. Both have their

  10. 40K Roleplay Campaign: To Sakovhim - part 3.1- The Class System of Phylolaeum

    The Class System of Phylolaeum

Despite the various accords and peaceful coexistance treaties between the various factions and species that go to make up the Kepler Covenant, life remains both cruel and unfair. While perhaps less cruel than the majority of locations within the Imperium, society within the Covenant is deeply unequal. Some continents, such as Chanoptis, are veritable slave empires, built on the back of the Necron Warriors and E’krati Rootless. By contrast, Phylolaeum
