Asymmetrical Xeno

Hello folks, I figured this would be the best place on the site to write about my wargame as opposed to spamming it on the forums or on the main page's comments.

I have for years been getting more bored with 40k - one because it's directions have been moving away from things I liked and secondly because what I like has changed too. I noticed there was a hole in the market for the sort of thing I wanted - and rather than complain and whine about it I decided I would get off my *** and do something about it.

So what I am creating is the world's first entirely Non-Humanoid alien wargame, and possibly the first extra-dimensional one as well! If you want conventional and relatable models then this WILL NOT be the game for you. If you are a fan of weird and abstract creatures and get a hard-on for HP Lovecraft then this WILL be the game for you!

So I am finally at a stage where I actually have something to show for the past 3-4 years of hard work I have been putting in developing this wargame, it's mythology and it's miniatures.

There are about twenty-one different alien species in the game. I will be focussing on roughly four every year. The fisrt two are the Tolathians (The primary protagonists in the game) and an Illuminanti styled race called the Luuran.

These masters will be used to create the first two Strike-Force packs. Strike-Forces are basicly the equivilent of 40k's "battleforces" ; except in these you get an HQ and effectively give you a minimum force to play the game with.

The Tolathian Strike-force will contain 5 Wisps (the generic troops), 3 Enhanced Ones (basicly your terminator/immortal equivilent) and a Cyclone Master (your HQ).

I'm aiming to try and get the first 2 releases circa mid-june, but with these things - I make no promises as theres still a lot to work out - and other than my caster (ed from troll forged) I am doing everything on my own.

To end this post I will say the Tolathians will not just be in a war-game - my other main project is making a full science-fiction web series featuring them! the web-show will not focus on war and battles but more on hard abstract sci-fi, atmosphere and cosmic-horror elements. The series will be full-live action and include little to no CGI. Most of it will be stop-motion, animatronics and puppetry.
