Asymmetrical Xeno

Cult of the dragon admech

Rate this Entry
A project me and my gaming-buddies are doing is a world fallen to the influence of the necrons. We wanted to put our own spin on this though, and includes a variety of forces for each side :

Necrons :
* Void-Dragon themed Necrons
* Cult of the dragon (fallen admech)
* The Wraith-Dragons (a marine chapter made of blanks which fall to necron-worship)
* Necronic Guard (Think...the borg)

Imperial :
* Space marines (a variety of chapters)
* Ordo Xenos/Deathwatch
* Death Korps
* Praetorians

I took it upon myself to do the cult of the dragon aspect, with allied contingents of the Wraith-Dragons. And heres what iv got so far ;

I know my painting is not the best,and can look pretty bad in places, so tips on how to make them better would be VERY appreciated. I find details very hard to do, especially. I dont have a very steady hand ect...and usually go with drybrushing/washes to achieve fair looking stuff.

    Tips as requested

    Water your paints down some more, and you're certainly not the only one guilty of this

    Have a look into the washes, they're extremely good at making your models look ten times better with minimal effort.

    Maybe try a bit of highlighting along with the washes.

    Line highlighting is something I've come across within the last week or so properly and it makes models look better as well Just run your brush along any edges of the model with colours that suit. So if it's black, a dark grey, if it's red, a lighter red/orange etc.

    And finally, experiment! Nothing helps as much as that.

    And finally, great work on them, they look pretty awesome
