It's hard to tell from their pictures, but the middle tier of that Tomb World was lined with green electroluminescent wire, so the whole thing had an almost Tron-like effect. There was also some used on the bottom tier, but it was particularly striking on tier 2. It was an excellent display piece, although not quite my favorite. There was a Typhus-led Zombie Attack table that edged it out in my mind. A lot of tough choices in voting.
That idol of Gork or possible Mork is fantastic!
It looks like the Forgeworld Ork Rogue Idol with a done of conversions.
The Orc Idol looks great and the Winner for Armies on Parade looks naff, when I saw it I thought "meh, is that it?".
a whole GD and that's all the pictures they're putting up? I remember when they'd have 15-20 and I marvel at the pictures.
The rest will be spread over several issues of WD, like they did for 2012.
It's always amused me how GW gets away with charging for Games Day and then exploiting their paying customers to provide content for the event.
What are the big draws for GD? Golden Demon and now Armies on Parade.
Does Disney make its customers build their own rides after paying for admission?
Then...the balls it takes to draw the pictures out over multiple issues of WD? In the cold dark reaches of Nottingham, there is no shame.
Well...the big draws of Games Day are meeting the designers, talking to FW, going to Seminars and buying FW without the delivery cost. Not Golden Deamon,
I really like the mirrors in the Necron catacomb, my one nitpick would be that because the stone outcrops back directly onto the mirror they don't reflect so it hurts the illusion of depth. The stone just ends. Not sure how you would get around that though,
