Quick refrence guide

My nephew loves to play 40k, but he can't always get to my house to play. He has an army of his own and I'm looking at giving him a small space marine army as well. This way he can play small games with his friends when they come over. But making someone dig through the Space marine codex just to learn the game my be off putting. So I'm looking to make a Quick Refrence guide, like the ones found in the various starter boxes, but pertaining specifically to the minis I have given him. Does anyone know if there is a good program out there for this, or do I need to suck it up and do it the old fashioned way?
