Great article as always :D
I must just point out that Lias Issodon's bolter becomes Heavy 1 if you want it to rend as per the chapter tactics rule.
When using this rule, all boltguns, combi-weapons used as boltguns and bolt pistols fired are counted as being Heavy 1 weapons instead of Rapid Fire or Pistol type weapons for that turn.
It does say his is a salvo 2/4 weapon rather than a 'rapid fire or pistol type' so maybe RAW = he gets rending but it does say all bolt guns.
It's a shame. 1 potentially rending shot or 4 AP5 shots? I think I'd stick with the 4 shots.

Elites Part Two have been added in! :)
-
Thank the Emperor that I have these wonderful fans both on my blog and here to point out my stupid mistakes! I actually posted an article referring to using Hit and Run with Terminators and Centurions :o Not happy with myself. Oh well, it is fixed up now :D
-
After a big delay, Fast Attack Part One has been added in :)
-
When will the heavy support be put up? It is the section I've most been looking forward too... in particular predators.
:D
-
Not too long hopefully! I'm slowing down with the Space Marine release to about one article every 5-7 days so that it finishes just in time for the Tyranid release. I'm now done with Fast Attack - Part Two was added in! - and I'm moving on to Heavy Support now, which will comprise three or four articles.
-
Heavy Support Part One is finally up after a (Tyranid) delay! I hope you enjoy it :) With all the White Dwarf details for Tyranids released, the rest of the Space Marine Tactica should proceed without a hitch.
-
Heavy Support Part Two added in, with preliminary work done on the next two articles. That means Heavy Support Half One is finished! Woo!
-
Part Three and Part Four of Heavy Support are finished, with Part Four now being added in as we speak :)
Only one article of my Space Marine Tactica series left (Black Templars) and just in time for Tyranids! Thank goodness for that!

great stuff, as usual!
the one thing I kinda missed though was a discussion of Combat Squads, as that is quite the easy workaround for the Tacs´ one-special-and-one-heavy problem you mentioned - while in Killpoints games it is admittedly a detriment, it also gives you a potential sixteen scoring units (including allied Space Marines of another Chapter) in sub-2000pts games
