Rouge Trader here we go!

so the only prior experience I've had with tabletop RPG's was a campaign of 4th edition Dunegons and Dragons, but being an avid fan of the 40k lore I was finally inspired to purchase my own copy of Rouge Trader and give the whole Tabletop RPG scene another go.

I was just wondering as a novice RPG player did i make th right choice with Rouge trader and what I can expect?

It appealed to me other platforms as I've wanted to experience a part of the 40k world that isn't entirely based around shooting things.

Is this the case?
