Terrible joke time then:
Q: What's even better than an Einstein-Rosen bridge?
A: An Einstein-Rosencrantz-Guilderstern bridge
I had to Google most of that. xD
It's funny though.
That truly is terrible. In fact, it's that bad it raises some interesting linguistic and metaphysical questions. Namely, when is a joke so bad that it stops being a joke? Surely there must be a stage when something becomes so utterly devoid of humour in either intent or execution that is not in fact a joke, but something else entirely.
Maybe? It's probably not my worst joke either.:p I find amusement in their terribleness rather than the joke itself.
Just as I was about to make a smart arsed comment about Jimmy Carr, Alan Carr, Russel Brand, The Mighty Boosh et al.
But never mind that! I've just seen Robocop.
It's actually alright. Original is such a genuine classic it was never going to really tickle it's position, but it's enjoyable enough. Though I think it's 12A rating meant cuts were made, and may have included a scene or two which were central to the plot. Looking forward to the directors cut on home media!
They're neither funny not original.
Jimmy Carr simply rifled the bins at Bob Monkhouse's funeral, and added in some truly obvious 'observation' jokes, and presented them with all the charm of a 6th Form bully picking on a Year 7.
Mighty Boosh have simply stolen the scraps from Vic and Bobs table, but not without deeply awkward 'pause for applause' moments.
So nyer! :p
all lies
I like Carr's jokes, but it's him and his delivery that puts me off. He pauses so long that I work out what the punchline is before he delivers it.
So this is the new home then?
Its cosy.
Not sure who my least-fave comedian would be, but my number 1 fave would have to be Chris Morris.
jaaaaaaaaaaaam
Mr Lizard
well then that's every single comedian who's still alive then...
seriously most of the have to use foul language or tell jokes that are insulting so XYZ Minority.....
Though that does remind me of the joke about the Englishman, Scotsman and the Irishman....
The Welshman sued for racial predijuce...
Oooh, I get the new spacious big room!
Favourite Comedian, well as much as we have some fantastic British comics, I do love the writing of Larry David. The very best at uncomfortable comedy which has me squirming and laughing in equal measure. This clip is NSFW

pfft and you told me that we wouldn't get to 1000 pages quickly.
That's why I like David Mitchell, he doesn't swear and to my knowledge he doesn't poke fun at minorities or any other underprivileged group.

That looks soooooooooooooooo cheesy
Oh good, another film that will kill of scantily clad women for the titillation of the audience.
I know what you mean, it is so discriminatory that the male characters all get killed off really early in these sorts of films..
Why did she have a top on as she dived in, but clearly didn't as she prepared to jump in?
It would be if men were sexualised and objectified in the media to the same extent as women.
Didn't you realise, the film market is the male 16-25?
Consider the new Jack Ryan film, there has been much made of the issue that the audiences for it have been 1/3rd 50+
If Jack Ryan isn't Harrison Ford, they're doing it wrong.
Actually 18-24 makes up 12% of the cinemagoing audience in the US and ticket sale are generally split fairly evenly between the genders. 12-17 makes up another 10% while 25-39 makes up 24% on it's own. Hollywood makes films for young white men because most of the people in charge are (young) white men making films they would want to see.
I have a particular loathing for these monster films which basically consist of a bunch of young women in bikinis being mostly killed with extremely objectifying and sexualising cinematography.
Hmmm the film is ironic and cheesy in equal measure. Poking fun at what's gone before and not taking itself seriously at all. The Zombie Beavers made me laugh muchly.
I have to agree with the new Jack Ryan film. When they replaced Ford with Affleck and changed the time line completely around and contrary to the books it was bad enough but this is a step beyond.
I think the reason I like (Fords) Ryan's character so much is because he isn't a Kung ho in your face action hero.
Obviously forgot my sarcasm tags...
It's not so much what they are wearing but how they are filmed wearing it. The men will be standing around in their shorts and whatnot and the camera is just there, but with the woman the camera work focuses on them, pans up and down their body and in general just does the whole Male Gaze thing and it's just so blargh. Then add in the being killed (ultimate depowerment) while being so scantily clad and the whole thing comes off as very fetishistic and exploitative.
Yes the fact they are all IMMENSELY stupid doesn't help. The men are no better usually but of course guess who usually takes action and starts hitting things with things in an attempt to defend the group... God I hate this genre so much.
No I didn't think you meant it I had just been reading some articles about the actual demographics and who actually gets films aimed at them so it was all ready to come out.:p I'll stop now I know this belongs more in the Feminism topic I just REALLY hate this genre.><
OMFG build a bear workshop, or the other one, are releasing a stuff your own Toothless :D
