Count me in as another Abnett fanboy.
I would echo the suggestions of the Horus Heresy and Gaunt's Ghosts books. I would also add the Eisenhorn and Ravenor books as well.

As a Daemon player, my best tarpit units are Plaguebearers squads of any size.
For me it will be a Lord of Change and some additional flamers to bolster the choices I have for upcoming Planetstrike games.
I have a team tournament coming up this weekend where I wanted a quick background write up for my multi-god Chaos Daemon army.
Three Powers Unite
A collection of souls will always call to the...
Then you know where I'll be. :)
It's just mean having to choose between alcohol and gaming. :)
I agree that washing is the way to go on these building, I just ran out of time in the construction this last weekend. I'm hoping to use the GW airbrush (or another airbrush) to stray them down with...
This year Olympic Cards and Comics is sponsoring our summer 40K and Fantasy tournaments. I have spoken to Gabby on the phone several times and she is great. Next time I'm driving north from Portland,...
My thought in posting the list was to share the build, so I'd be happy to talk about how it's performing to date. Under this current build, I have around 20 plays and my overall winning percentage is...
This is the all comers Daemon list I've been running for a few months. I'd like to think it's a friendly list, but if all three flamers units do well then my opponent may not agree. :)

Well painted and very cohesive. I agree with the other posters with your success in pulling off a good looking force in yellow.
Since all the cool kids are doing it, I thought I would start a picture log of some of the hobby stuff I work on and finish.
These first post are some of the terrain pieces I finished for my...
I am a huge fan of AB and have used it for years. I like the dedicated community behind to ensure the datas files are updated and corrected regualrly. I also love the fact that you receive two...
The bike conversion looks great! If you decide to go with the Nurgle lord, it may be easier to simply cover the purity seals with a some great stuff in your dedication to Nurgle. Nothing hides...
I don't know if this is my favorite combo, but certainly my favorite (and necessary) for my current army; Plaguebearer and Bloodletters. The Plaguebearer are durable enough to hold most units in...
Those marauder horsemen bits look great on those Wolf Scouts. Very cool conversion and great write up on your blog.
I play in Portland OR with our local gaming club Ordo Fanaticus.
Count me in the W&N Series 7 crowd, but my goto size is the #2. It still comes to that razor sharp point, but the larger barrel holds more and provides less of an opportunity to get paint close to...
I have 100+ Cadians and 100+ Praetorians that will be my army project for 2010. I love the character of the metal Cadians and how can anyone not love the pith helmet and dress uniforms of the...
My first army was Eldar and it's where I first learned the basics of assembly and painting. Since the game play came later, I quickly determined that I had the wrong models to match my preferred...
It's great to see a forum here as I found myself visiting BOLS daily for my hobby news fix.
Although I've only been involved with gaming for the last several years, I'm lucky to play with a local...
