I voted no. I have no interest in any of the models, and lost my interest in playing 40k altogether for that matter. Hell I didn't even buy the 5th ed starter set for 40k with the Orks in it.

That's the inherent problem to the Force Org charts. In a sense, they encourage spam to a degree. Two of my favorite all time wargames don't use anything remotely close to a 'force org chart'.

Is this a change with the new edition's rules? Because Mob Rule replaced the LD value with the unit's size. And modifiers didn't just 'vanish' afterwords, so a unit of 10 boyz who suffered a -5 ...

You are correct. They removed the 'No Retreat!' rule from Fearless, and it has returned back to it's 4th edition version. Which means Fearless is now a benefit for some armies once again, as...

Or any of us, for that matter... the idea that 5th was more 'competitive-worthy' is laughable. As is the idea that psykers already weren't having a 'big enough impact' when half the armies don't...

6e is probably the most strategic/tactical that 40k has ever been.... but IMHO it's still a far cry from the likes of Epic, or numerous other non-GW wargames. And no, I'm not talking about the one...

Wave Serpents are hardly 'the worst' of the transports, though. And in 4th, they were quite beefy. The one thing the really needed in 5th, was the ability to swap out the force field for a...

I personally would not recommend a wyrdboy or warphead (or Zogwort), as they tend to be rather lackluster and only of use against armies without psychic defense of some kind. However, if you're set...

Not too interested in the first one. I recall Farseer being fairly decent.

Deff Skwadron has been available for free viewing on the net for a long time (just google it). But having it...

You apparently never played during the green-codex days when Orks charged at 2x initiative value, boyz swung simultaneously to marines, and Nobs and Warbosses actually had to consider turning off...

On a side note, the Blood Axe clan is well known for it's mercenary habits. There are many fringe worlds of the Imperium that will hire them to help fight their wars. Tau are also likely employers....

A Farseer with 5 Rangers will likely become a staple for quite a few armies who can take them as some kind of ally... Whether that be Orks, Tau, Dark Eldar, etc. A lot of armies are desperately...

Here's hoping that's the case. We might actually see Choppa/Slugga boyz fielded once again, as removing No Retreat would do wonders for bringing them up to par with the versatility and firepower of...

So Fearless didn't change at all. Does that also mean combat resolution for Fearless hasn't changed? Is there any (much needed) changes to No Retreat?

Not at their current point cost they aren't. Vanilla Hammernators are considerably undercosted by 10 to 15pts a model for what they do in 5th.

I went through all the pages in this post, and I'm still wondering about No Retreat and whether or not they "fixed" it (read, scrapped), or changed Combat Resolution for the better.

I think the boost and 'must-have' status for Jump Infantry will largely depend upon the army, and the unit itself. I can't see the I10 impact hits doing much for Swooping Hawks for instance, and...
