Getting new people to play X-Wing is soo easy. Let them play one game, and they're hooked. The game is so much fun. That's why a lot of people play X-Wing at my store. :cool:

But kudos on starting X-Wing too. You won't regret it.

There is nothing that is unbeatable in X-Wing. Tie Swarms are good, because they are very reliable. Bad rolls don't hurt you so much, because you have a lot of redundancy. And shooting with 6-7 ships...

Ah damn forgot how rending works against vehicles. Was thinking about armourbane.
Still nice to rend those MCs.

Misfortune can be scary if you face those T8 models or Land Raiders. Killing a Land Raider or Wraithknight with Lasguns? Hell yeah!

Painting and modding is finde, as long as the ship is recognisable. I think it's cool if the ships look slightly different on the table. Mines are also painted.

There are people who played Eldar before the new dex. And some of them might not even play Jetseer or Beaststar at all you know. ;)

Now that i have your attention hear me out. I play Eldar only and I really like how the psychic phase is turning out. But I hear many players scream and shout as they fear that an all psychic army...

Imps are a bit different, since they like to fly in swarms. So if you want to fly a Tie-Fighter or Tie-Bomber swarm you'll eventually need more of those. But any ship is fine. Except i wouldn't buy...

You can have fun matches with that. I love flying the slow but sturdy Y-Wing. Especially with an Ion Turret. ;)
Of course your squadrons will be somewhat limited, but you can have very fun battles...

Even if you only want to play Rebels i would still strongly advise to buy 2x core sets. It's just the best value you can get. Sell the imperials within it, if you don't want them.

This ship is going to be very very interesting to fly. 1+2 turns are red and only straight greens. With only one 180° it seems to be a pretty predictable ship. At least it's not stressed when failing...

Barrage weapons are shot high into the sky and fall down on the enemy. They always hit the top. That's why you always hit the top floor when shooting at a building. The shot always comes from above....

There are both factions in the core set and the rules are very easy to learn. You can play with any friend that likes board games. Just lend them your minis for the game. I do that all the time.
