I agree, Berzerkers need a revamp, more so than the Thousand Sons and the Emperor's Children though both are pretty old sculpts and in need of a revamp.

Seeing the recent plastic Space Marine releases (Sanguinary Guard/Blood Angels, Space Wolves, Grey Knights etc) I'm confident GW can make amazing plastic models packed with many options/extras....
